Re: JoshC1977's M17 Sliders

First of all, thank you guys very much, both of you have always been my favorite slider guys!

Is it WAD that my QB even on a 4-man rush never has more than 2 seconds to throw before being hit? My OL seems pretty overpowered all the time (I've tried 2 different teams). I am yet to throw a medium-deep route, because I just don't have the time to let it develop. On the other side, even usering the DE the CPU QB has at times 4-5 seconds before I can even get close.
I suppose that's all-madden difficulty doing this (it's certainly not 50-50 as the sliders suggest), but I was just asking if it was WAD. I know King on his M16 sliders used to make throwing for the human QB more difficult by giving him much less time in the pocket...

Again I only played 1 game but I really think ratings are gonna matter here. I was using the Chargers and Melvin Ingram was just working fools all game. It was so fun. The stickiness is pretty much gone. I was also able to sling with Rivers too (not great though lol) so just keep playing.

I just wanted to add my appreciation to you (Josh) and King and whoever else helped with these for all the time you guys take testing and trying things. I've always like your approach to sliders. I am kind of worried though, nothing to do with your set, that i'm not football smart enough to use these.

Is there anything I can adjust to make the offensive line less sticky? Feels like every time a linemen gets to me (I play one of the lb spots every play) it's a wrap. Can't shed, can't even get my guy to move left or right

We brought this up in the notes, we did have some mild concern with people who don't user dline. But, the shed is as optimized as we can make it without jacking things. Look at your player ratings and traits....

Exactly...I have seen huge differences in pass rush effectiveness between say jacksonville and the rams dlines.

It's also important to set your Player Styles in the Scheme Menu to settings that not only bring out the highest OVR, but have qualities that YOU may benefit from having that player posses...

For instance, I set the players I will be USER-ing on the DL to a box that has some "Block Shed" to it, in the description...

The settings that are based around "Run Stop" have that...

The effect is minor, but noticeable...

Thanks for the props!

To your question:

Haven't seen this, but some things that can minimize it when you're passing are setting up the pass by running the ball successfully / implementing protection shifts and max protect / exploiting the defense with audibles, motion and / or hot routes...

Also:

Both this year and last, there's a LOT of "roadkill level" (sub 75 OVR) players on most O Lines...

Last year, I spent the majority of my first three drafts rebuilding the line and then had MORE than enough time...
