It's all about getting more proper block shedding and reducing the suction blocks. Now that this is nailed-down (well, as much as we can really accomplish on Madden until a patch comes out), we can look at things like pursuit angles, defensive aggression, and so on.

My approach is all about getting proper animations and reactions, not worrying as much about numbers. Numbers are great in large sample sizes (i.e. full seasons) but the gameplay needs to look and feel right. This just puts us one step closer to what we want.

We're not done yet, but another foundational block has been laid.

OP updated to reflect Holding at 20 MM, and 20 CFM. (I'll re-evaluate when the patch comes out)

Edit: turned ballhawk and heatseeker off to clean up some warping.
Indeed this helped a ton. I played 1 game so sample size caveats apply, but the line play felt more dynamic, was far less sticky when it came to block shedding to stop the run, and I got 2 sacks off 4 man rushes. 2 sacks off blitzes. Had some pressures off 4 man rushes that hurried the QB into questionable throws. Still haven't seen the QB move / evade though.

Will be interesting to see how it evolves from here.

Josh any updates? you tried 35 threshold? I tried 40 again, and game was just to easy offensively again. While at 35 felt better. going to test some more with 35 and see if that holds up.

Ya, kinda curious what kind of results you're getting Josh. Offensive? Yards per game with these sliders?

And why does A&S thank you for the Fatigue "Magic Formula" of 38/58, but you still have 50/60? Is this due to the quarter length difference?

I toyed with it last night...not crazy about it. I think it will ultimately lead to more problems than it is worth. Updates were posted last night.

I have finished exactly one game since this came out. The rest has been starting, looking at replays, getting a feel, and then exiting and restarting with new tweaks.

I'm not at the 'gather stats' stage but at the 'fix the game' stage if development. We are getting there though.

Yup...he and I have been PMing. Quarter length is a key, though I'm not sure why he is at 38.... but hey, whatever

Hi All, Im a Newb here. I do see the stats on the OP but im a bit confused. Is everything supposed to be at 50 for user/cpu? When I look at the OP thats all I see. How is that working for everyone? Im sorry for the stupid question.

It works well, even on Play the Moments (slow) cpu v cpu mode. The biggest things are the fumbles, the false starts (atleast for me), and the fatigue.

Currently I have:

- All Pro on Normal speed, 9 min quarters no runoff
- All gameplay sliders at 50 user / 50 cpu except:
- Fumbles at 51 user / 51 cpu (this helps with QB sack fumbles)

- Penalty sliders are:
  • Offsides 60
  • False Start 45
  • Holding 40
  • Defensive Holding 60
  • Defensive Pass Interference 60
  • The rest all default 50

- Injuries are 50 main menu / 50 cfm

- Fatigue is 50 main menu / 60 cfm
