Re: JoshC1977's M17 Sliders

Couldn't really stop Eli. The only thing that seemed to create pressure was slanting the line left or right and taking the DT to speed rush around the DE and his T. But they usually resulted in sacks rather than incompletions because it left a wide open gap for the LB to rush in.

Re: JoshC1977's M17 Sliders

Josh I was using your "hybrid" set for a good amount of time and was happy with the results (I also think little to no slider adjusting is better), so I sort of lost track of this thread for a while. I looked at for the first time and noticed you had changed the setup, so I followed the OP and I must say these settings are tight! I always played on AM level with 2nd controller using custom playbooks on O and D for the CPU to take out the stupid calls they make (cover 0 all verts ect...) and no CHEESE. I'm not sure what this setup did but AP level feels like AM without the CPU crazy stuff, the only thing I noticed was the HUM run game was a little over powering so instead of adjusting a slider I simply went to schemes and changed the O line to pass blockers and it toned down nicely. Great job.... just out of curiosity did this setup play well on the "Hybrid" set? And what did dropping IBIB to 49 do?

I haven't touched a hybrid setup in ages. It's ok...but the less 'all madden' in the setup, the better imo. So, I haven't touched it with this setup, nor do I plan to. As you stated, this is already pretty daggone tough 'as is'.

IBB really enhances the run blocking to get more dynamic downfield blocking and so on. I could never go back to a setup without this setting....total game changer.

That's must explain why the CPU run game is a lot harder to slow down.... cool. I love a good challenge.

Re: JoshC1977's M17 Sliders

Josh--Thank you for posting additional detail on your save sequence, visual aid off, and def auto flip off. I'm not exactly sure which of these did the trick but after I re-installed the game and plugged in OP set as is, I'm having great games. Pass coverage is amazing. My first game with Aaron Rodgers resulted in a QB% of 52% and I was taken down by the Jaguars. lol. I need to get better and I love the challenge! I'm seeing errant throws, deflections, logical interceptions, etc in the passing game. Ratings matter! It's awesome. I haven't had this much fun playing Madden yet this year. Can't wait to play again tonight.

I wonder if the way I was saving my CFM caused issues. I would never rely on the auto save feature. After staring a new CFM I would save it by creating my own label (i.e. Packers). I just wonder if I never "locked in" the settings using the custom save/label. Who knows.

Falcons CFM year 2 vs Dolphins.

Realize after this game, dolphins with 8 starters out, mostly on defense. Got 8-1 Saints next, battle for top of NFC South.

Re: JoshC1977's M17 Sliders

Mixed results so far with jaguars offline. Running an 8 in the box 46 cover 3 defense, ai is only running the ball about 10 times a game with 60+ pass attempts. Intercepted rodgers 4 times in the opener allowing zero touchdowns.

On offense ive thrown 6 touchdowns in 2 games to 2 picks wirh my spread offense, rushing 16 times a game for limited yardage against nickel defenses.

Fumbles are rampant when getting hit during a throw. Bortles has 4 total 3 that were lost. Rodgers also had one lost.

Overall the game is playing well, the ai is probably passing so much because 90% of downs im in the 46 and it doesnt want to run against that, so they opt for a spread style offense. Too bad for them a 46 cover 3 can stop 3 wide sets and 4 with extra pressure.

Only time i switch to my nickel and dime are for cover 1 blitz packages against 3rd and long 4 wides.

I'll tell you jaa....I saw those numbers and went, wtf! Then I saw the starters injured and I was like, "Oh, THAT happened"...frankly, that is pretty daggone cool if you ask me. They were decimated by injuries and got decimated.
