You can not touch a thing on a PC and still have it crash on you.

Not saying that this is a fix....but it's worth trying....up to you though.

Wait, I'm confused. Should autostrafe be on or of? And should the same setting be applied to both MM and CFM?

All 3 need to be set to "ON". It doesn't matter where you set it at (MM or CFM) because it can only be set to one or the other. If set in MM it will automatically be set that way in CFM (and vice versa).

Originally that's what we were rolling with. But with the find of dropping Fatigue and Injury to "1" in MM all 3 should be set to "ON" now.

Hopefully Tdawg has a chance to chime in about his respective franchises...very different teams, very different results.
I meant to chime in on this days ago but completely forgot. So here it is:

Online CFM with the Saints (97 ovr rated team)
I've played around 12 games with the OP set with this team. I've only lost once (and it was preseason so really doesn't count). But that's not surprising since this team is stacked across the board on offense and defense. I have close games and blow outs but I always feel like I can win because they are so good.

Offline CFM with the 49ers (75 ovr rated team)
I've played 14 games with the OP set with this team. I've only won twice (one was a preseason game). It is very difficult to get things going with this team because they are so poor. I've been blown out a few times and have had some very close games my team just can't pull out. I always feel like I have to play perfect to get that win as I should.

Case in point. RATINGS MATTER guys. With my same skill level and same exact settings/sliders I am getting polar opposite results with, wait for it, polar opposite teams. I believe that is the definition of ratings mattering (is that even a word? lol). My highly rated team makes games easier for me because they are really good. My poorly rated team makes games harder for me because they suck lol.

I've always wanted to play this game so the player ratings actually matter and not make it hard just for hards sake (sim style). I don't want to win or lose every time but I want good teams to be good and bad teams to be bad based off of ratings. I honestly think Josh has found that balance finally. Just remember, if your team is good you will probably win more often and that is fine. Your team is good.

One last thing. Money plays. Every sports game has them. It's a video game and it's pretty much unavoidable. If you run certain plays that are just.....well....money then sliders won't matter. You have to understand that and either choose to avoid them (or call them rarely) or not care and just play how you want. But you won't find a solution so complaining about it probably won't help. This isn't a knock on anyone and I'm definitely not telling you how to play. More of just a heads up.

Okay. I've rambled enough.

Re: JoshC1977's M17 Sliders

Week 1 @ Ravens. The Ravens started without TE Benjamin Watson and LE Timmy Jernigan. The Bills started without RE Jerel Worthy.

On the Ravens second drive, WR Mike Wallace suffered broken ribs. On the very next drive for the Ravens, WR Breshad Perriman went out with a shoulder tear. The Ravens running game has been stuffed so far and Joe Flacco is losing receivers. Bills are up 20-6 at half time and Flacco has thrown two picks. Things weren't looking good for the Ravens. The 3rd quarter was short back and forth possessions. Flacco threw his third pick that we got another field goal off of, and then Steve Smith had a nice kickoff return, which led to Flacco's fourth pick. In the fourth quater, Flacco marches down for his first touchdown. Then the next Ravens drive he throws his fifth pick. But then Charles Clay fumbles the ball on an out route and the Ravens get the ball back and score again. This game wasn't over quite yet. The Ravens have 3 timeouts and 1:39 left. They opted out of an onside kick and tried to stop our offense with their 3 timeouts, and they stop us on 4th and inches. They get the ball back on their 42 with 1:15 on the clock and no timeouts. They end up going 4 and out and we win 23-20.

Things that I liked:
The running game was decent. I would still like for somebody to discover some adjustment on toning down tackle for losses. There's way too many on for my defense. Has anybody tried some turning holding to 49 trick to see what it does or something? While IBIB helps with the OL getting to the 2nd level, they hardly ever get that far because the run is always stuffed in the backfield. Maybe lowering holding to 49 would make them not care and hold more?

The best pass rushers were getting sacks and pressure was coming from different directions directions on each play. It wasn't like older Maddens where you can put anybody at a certain position and get sacks for them.

Things that I didn't like:
These 4th and 5th string receivers of the Ravens were running through zone coverage and beating man like they were Odell or Brandin Cooks. I still have a ratings don't matter because everything is broken feeling towards receivers and defensive backs because coverage in Madden is so broken. Playing press and underneath coverage every single down helps some though, so I can't complain too much about 62% from Flacco. A lot of the incompletions were actually errant throws or bad throws deep that got deflected. It wasn't just balls thrown away or sack drops. Just wish coverage worked correctly so ratings would matter so some 62 overall receiver wouldn't go 10 catches 120 yards 2 touchdowns every game if you put him on a CPU team in depth chart 1-3.
