Just for reference i never cheese when i play, i call one of the 3 plays the cpu chooses for me. i play as realistic as possible. it really didnt matter what run i called it was 6... 14... 80 every time. i even had to just start running the clock out the 2nd halves just to keep it close. not fun at all. in conclusion back to ootb. you guys arent missing anything with these patches. its a shame. i really wanted for it to work out, but we must part ways. its not you, its me, i mean it is you!!! lol.

I was wondering if the update was as good as what some were leading us to believe, thanks for reinforcing that the ootb is better vs the Updated version. For me to be out rushed and out passed by the CPU w/ the ootb version, is saying alot!

This should help balance out the calls on the Offense vs calls on D.
So, for ex. CPU gets perfect edge blocking but you see a Holding animations
or
Block in the Back animations.
See,
On default 50, these wouldn't get called, leading to more long outside runs (more so for the cpu).
Now, with these minor adjustments, you will see these get called but not at ridiculous amount.
It does seem to balance out the calls on the D. Which at default is mainly FaceMask and an occasional Neutral zone infraction on the D-line.
I may end up putting D-Holding on 51, we'll see.

For custom PB, can I put the 2nd controller back in the middle before game starts, so that I'm still playing the CPU. Or do I need to pause the game before kickoff and switch the 2nd controller to the middle at that point?

Nice im getting ready to fire up the next game on ootb version with everything exactly how i had it set w the patches.

This should be interesting . Ill post stats. Itll be on all madden for this test to be the same as patched version

You can move it back to the middle before starting, just be sure to have the custom PB on that profile for controller 2.

Ok I've done that twice now, and have gotten a crash both times, weird....

Going to try and start the game then move it back to the middle at that point

Test results 10min/20sec

I played this game exactly how ive played the others so nothing will be in favor of ootb or anything like that.


Right off the bat the kicking meter is faster and not a guarantee hit every time.


1st drive of the game, the bengals marched down the field. Daulton had more movement in the pocket and better awareness.

I can already tell the difference in ai play.

I can tell the tackling is better and the cpu angles are better.

Dallas 1st drive ended in a fg. Running definitely felt tougher and coverage was tighter.

End of 1st qt. 2 long drives by both offenses 7-3 bengals

Bengals return it to the 45 and make swiss cheese outta dallas d. But we make a stand at the two . They come away with a fg

10- 3 bengals

Dallas drives down the field still hard to find running room. Romo leads them to the 1. Bengals hold. Dal fg. 10-6

Bengals ball under 2 min to half.

Bengals drive down w ease td

Bengals 17-6 halftime dallas to receive

Dallas fumble on the return, bengals recover. Booth review, overturned

Dallas ball . Shew

Dallas converts on 4th and 1 at ben 46, drive continues

Bengals d holds again as romo gets erratic in the redzone. Dal fg

We need a stop.

Dal holds in redzone end of 3rd, 2 long drives again.

Romo is shaken 2 inaccurate passes in a row. 3 and out.

Bengals win 23-9 . Man the gameplay is great ,challenge is great, ai it great. Qb acc was great. There isnt one slider guy that can tell me the patched version is better or that the positives out way the negatives. Its just not the case. Its night and how how much better this is. Im just at a loss why people ignore it or go against it. Lol their loss. And for all those slider guys thats say you need like 5 seasons of play to make that judgement try what i did, switch right from a patched version to unpatched ,exact settings and see. I dont need 5 season to evaluate sliders or gameplay. Lol

Look at romos acc and my rushing stats. Its just amazing how much better it is

I believe it's how the PB was customized that causes the crash. I've had some work and others crash.

Finally starting my CFM! Too bad it wasn't until December 4th, oh well. Just glad I finally have the game playing well.

Starting Week 1 Regular Season with my Ravens
8 Minute Quarters
Default All-Pro, Everything including penalties at 50 except INT
INT 30/30 **
75 Man Pre Season updated by me (ratings, free agents, trades, #'s, positions)
All QB Traits set to Trigger Happy (no more 8 sack games), and lots changed to scrambling (Ex. Wentz)
Will make Custom PB for each team as I go along. No more 4 verts!!
I will also being playing atleast one other game every week throughout the season, as I have 32 team control on.
Will post all box scores here and will stream every game I play for anyone who wants to see what getting the full potential out of the OOTB version looks like.
