Re: M17 Custom CPU PBs & Default All-Pro(DSkins81)

Hey Skins, Tyler, and Cable... So you guys mind taking a quick peek at some of my box scores (specifically the 49ers ones) and see if you think I'm getting a good number of total plays a game? Or if you think I might should bump up to 10 minutes a game.

Thanks,
HCP.

For some reason your stats dont show on tapatalk. Thats usually what i use to follow. Ill check them out on the cpu later today but for reference of what im seeing ill post this..

I was on 12 min 13 sec run off and i would hit 120 but the games felt long and often lead to high scores and elivated stats for both sides. Not all the time but higher than i liked.

I dropped to 10 min 20 sec. And i counted around 103 - 110 in my testing phase. Scores are right on point and so are stats. Im really not worried about play count if i can hit that.

The nfl average is around 64 per team per game but im not sure that translates well to madden to hit that magic 120 for the above reasons. Im not sure your play count but id shoot for 105 to 110 in play count.

Which is passing attemps + rushing attemps+ sacks. Dont count special team plays. But if you do on 10 min 20sec your probably close to 120 w st plays but thats not an official count.

Right off the bat the kicking meter is faster and not a guarantee hit every time.

1st drive of the game, the bengals marched down the field. Daulton had more movement in the pocket and better awareness.

I can already tell the difference in ai play.

I can tell the tackling is better and the cpu angles are better.

Dallas 1st drive ended in a fg. Running definitely felt tougher and coverage was tighter.

End of 1st qt. 2 long drives by both offenses 7-3 bengals

Bengals return it to the 45 and make swiss cheese outta dallas d. But we make a stand at the two . They come away with a fg

10- 3 bengals

Dallas drives down the field still hard to find running room. Romo leads them to the 1. Bengals hold. Dal fg. 10-6

Bengals ball under 2 min to half.

Bengals drive down w ease td

Bengals 17-6 halftime dallas to receive

Dallas fumble on the return, bengals recover. Booth review, overturned

Dallas ball . Shew

Dallas converts on 4th and 1 at ben 46, drive continues

Bengals d holds again as romo gets erratic in the redzone. Dal fg

Ben 17- 9

We need a stop.

Dal holds in redzone end of 3rd, 2 long drives again.

Ben 20-9

Romo is shaken 2 inaccurate passes in a row. 3 and out.

Dal finally holds. 1 1st down and punt. Dallas ball. 7 min left

3 and out..romo playing terrible in the clutch, wasting chances

Bengals 3 and out. Romo lets go

Romo converts 1 4th down but cant get 2. Bengals take over

Running out the clock 2 min warning. Benard 25 yrd run to seal it. Made some nice moves

Bengals hit fg 23-9

Prescott in for garbage time. Int thats it.

Bengals win 23-9 . Man the gameplay is great ,challenge is great, ai it great. Qb acc was great. There isnt one slider guy that can tell me the patched version is better or that the positives out way the negatives. Its just not the case. Its night and how how much better this is. Im just at a loss why people ignore it or go against it. Lol their loss. And for all those slider guys thats say you need like 5 seasons of play to make that judgement try what i did, switch right from a patched version to unpatched ,exact settings and see. I dont need 5 season to evaluate sliders or gameplay. Lol

Here are the stats.

Look at romos acc and my rushing stats. Its just amazing how much better it is

Sorry about the long post, just having fun.

I believe some, so called "slider gurus" don't even play Madden, but that's beside the point.

So even All-Madden plays better w/ the OOTB version.
I don't know how guys can keep playing the updated version, mainly due to the QBA on the user side being so OP'd.

Bottom line is we are having some of the most true to ratings and gameplay that we've ever seen in Madden, by going ootb.
If others want to argue that the updated version is better, oh well,

We know the differences and have plenty of game data, videos posted, etc. That back up our argument.
They don't have anything to show but opinions and theories, of which don't hold much water

Finally starting my CFM! Too bad it wasn't until December 4th, oh well. Just glad I finally have the game playing well.

Starting Week 1 Regular Season with my Ravens
8 Minute Quarters
Default All-Pro, Everything including penalties at 50 except INT
INT 30/30 **
75 Man Pre Season updated by me (ratings, free agents, trades, #'s, positions)
All QB Traits set to Trigger Happy (no more 8 sack games), and lots changed to scrambling (Ex. Wentz)
Will make Custom PB for each team as I go along. No more 4 verts!!
I will also being playing atleast one other game every week throughout the season, as I have 32 team control on.
Will post all box scores here and will stream every game I play for anyone who wants to see what getting the full potential out of the OOTB version looks like.

In all your opinions, is it necessary to use custom play books and modify QB traits to get ootb version to play well? What's the downside of not doing that? It seems to me the lack of QB scramble and stale repetitive CPU play calling was an issue pre patches. Was hoping maybe the day one patch caused those issues and that the true ootb would play out better overall. Thanks!

No....just....no. It's horrible with the patch, high scores all the time no rough hard played defensive games. Which of you just look back at some of my posts I was getting before.

And of course their's the QB accuracy issue, but even more than that for me was that it seemed no matter what I called or audibled or anything there was almost always a guy pretty much wide open. I mean I could've had a sky high completion % with those looks.

Only thing that I hate about going back is losing the color rush unis. Really wish EA had made the dlc instead of combined with a patch.

But oh well I'll be deleting all of it when I get home. At least I was able to get some updated rosters out of it.
Definitely good to see.(found this on pg. 54, top of pg)
I went back to pg. 50 to calculate all your total plays from then till now.
User and CPU, I will post your avgs asap.

Thanks for sharing all the game stats and thoughts, it means more than just opinions and therioes imo.

I have found it helps the overall experience..have not played a game without then since moving to "OOTB"

Playcalling is better. Fatigue, even with accelerated clock, is better. QB AI is way better. Anyway, just wanted to corroborate. I'm staying out of the main threads with this, but to me, going back to default OOTB game play is much more enjoyable.
Good to hear from you, Trojan Man
Feel free to post some games if your still playing.
Thanks for the honest feedback bro.
