Version 10 is now on the OP.

We use JoshC1977ís main menu set up and weekly game planning workaround as well as schemes from his Madden 17 slider thread.

That is correct.

Madden 17 plays fantastic compared to 18......it’s really night and day....and once I popped 17 back in after 2 weeks of extensive CFM testing and playing game after game after game of 18......I was literally blown away how much better 17 is top to bottom.

I hate giving up coaching adjustments, off-ball injuries and 4K Pro support, but my god.....GAMEPLAY!!!! SIMULATION GAMEPLAY.

That’s why I play sports games first and foremost and Madden 17 delivers. Madden 18 is.......lord.

Anyway......happy to be back playing this title and will enjoy it for a long time. It was my original plan to stick with 17......well...enough of that. We are back here with 17 and having fun again.

See you on Twitch playing the 2017 Dolphins, 1993 Dolphins and I also have a fantasy team I drafted for the Dolphins that is a fun squad!

After all I've been reading, I think I'm planning on sticking with '17. Glad to see you're back!

I noticed on the main post in the thread that you're applying two of the QB trait edits. Is there any reason why just those two? I've been wondering if the edits for '18 were legacy issues and could be applied in '17 as well but since everyone moved on, nobody was really discussing the impacts on 17.

So no.....traits worked perfectly fine on 17.

Josh and I and several other OS’ers were reaching and reaching for solutions to the horrid CPU QB AI and massive sack issues that are plaguing Madden 18 (as well as horrific secondary play).

In doing that though Josh found that turning the penalty trait to disciplined would prevent that horrible animation of a QB scrambling out of the pocket and running up the LOS then suddenly stopping...throwing across their body etc. So far it seems to work well.

High motor - Get’s QB’s moving more.


So far.....I love what those two are doing on 17. The others work exactly as they are intended on 17 and there is no sack issues on 17 at all.

madden 17 cfm: Wow, played my falcons week 1 game with 2017 rosters, beat Bucs 33-13. Only 2 sacks per side. Only 1int per side, mine was a late game pick 6, forced by pressure. I also forced a fumble on my 2nd sack. Playing 17 just shows they really F**ked 18 up in AI department. I am not preaching 17 is perfect, but is way better in overall gameplay compared to 18, and fun with Armors settings and new tweaks. Only things I am looking at tweaking slightly , but not until several games, is tackle maybe at 45 instead - just seemed like in 1st game a bit much break tackles. Also, CPU QB Comp% a bit low, but maybe just game. Winston made some beautiful down field throws, threw ball away , over and under threw ball. How refreshing, did not see that in 18. Look forward to week 2 and Raiders. No Ryan though, got knocked out midway through bucs game.

So here's my question, if I went back to 17, what would you put for qb trait changes?
