Josh1977 and I trade notes every season as we test sliders and last night he had a breakthrough with Auto Subs/fatigue testing. However this is playing with:
9 minute quarters/no accelerated clock
Fatigue in the main menu set to 50 and set to 60 inside CFM
All auto subs are set 60/80 across the board.
9 minute quarters with no runoff will still give you 100-120 plays total.
I am going to test it further with some tweaks on 15 minute quarters.
I will set fatigue to 44 in the main menu and 54 in CFM and set all auto subs to 60/80 across the board.
Josh1977 has been seeing 2:1 split in human RB carries and a 3:1 split for the CPU (hey it's better than nothing!!) and no disappearing players across all positions.
So some progress and huge props to Josh1977 who is a tireless mad scientist!!!
Had a lot of fun with this one. The Texans had ZERO answers for Henry. They tried to stack the box and he would still bust through. He had 8 broken tackles and 126 YAC. He was nothing but a bully. And that's all it really took. My D was stout against their run and I had a nice lead all game forcing them to play catch up. The D harassed Oswelier all game long. Hopkins caught a lot of balls but never killed me deep. MariOta was shaky but we didn't need to to win us this game. Good game overall. Best run performance I have had yet.
Just played GMEn (me) vs Packers. I got down 13-0 and won 37-20. Still too much offense with this set for me and no way to get pressure on QB. What I did notice is the CPU pass protection slider seems to impact completion percentage for the CPU....anyone agree with this?
Second game I've played with Version 1.1 of these sliders and I'm really enjoying it. I might knock a minute or two off of quarter length and adjust the CPU rushing sliders a bit, but otherwise I really don't feel that much needs to be adjusted. Before C.J. Anderson's long TD run in the 2nd half, he really struggled and had less than 1.0 ypc after about his first 10 runs of the game.
As much as I enjoyed the sliders in M16, I was able to play the same way every game with every team and still win about 90% of the games. With this most recent game I played in M17 using these sliders, it was a fun defensive struggle early on for both teams and I actually ended up coming out on the losing end with the Jags, but I'm all for it. It seems that each game between different teams has its own unique feel, which is nice, and that it is no longer as simple as going into each game with the same plan and expecting it to work against every team. It just seemed to be the type of game I would expect between the actual Jags and Broncos.
