I was thinking about saving up all the xp until end of the season upgrade and let the players progress natural with yearly off season progress or do every 4 weeks upgrade. What would you do?
I wouldn't restart your cfm because you got a few silver and golds. Shouldn't really cause to much issue. Unless of course you want to restart then go for it. The main reason is just to try not to give yourself an advantage over the cpu.

As far as when to upgrade I like to do the same as the cpu (again to try to make things as balanced as possible). I tried all the possibilities (weekly, 4 week, end of season) and came to the conclusion that every 4 weeks is best for overall balance of the league. Weekly causes issues because the players never have much xp so only cheap attributes get upgraded. End of season I thought was the gold mine but turns out that if players have enough for a dev trait upgrade they will do that every time no matter what age the player is. With players not spending xp till the end of season way to many had enough xp to upgrade the dev trait. This left a boat load of superstar and quick dev players after just a few years. 4 week works great because they do get enough to upgrade higher cost attributes but usually not enough to get that dev upgrade. But at end of season if they win awards, make pro bowl, or hit their season goals then they may have enough to get that dev trait upgrade and it seems more legit because they earned it by playing at a very high level. Works out pretty well.

I did so many sims I can't even remember the number and after all that 4 weeks is the way to go. I just let the cpu auto progress my players but you can do it yourself if you want. I'm in year 7 of my Saints cfm and everything progression wise is going quite nicely. Hope that helped.

Thanks for the info! I had to restart because I saw a crazy team name and I forgot I lefted relocation on and it was driving me crazy. So, I restarted with the bucs and simmed up where I was at with the colts. I did put in all your suggests and we shell see how it goes for me! thanks for the help!

Do you think XP sliders affect gameplay?

I'm a little confused on the first page, which sliders are your final set?

There is only one set posted. It's at the bottom of the first post. Hope that helped.

Re: TDawg's Madden 17 XP Sliders

TDawg, when you calibrated these, did you factor in year-end-awards bonus XP?

The reason I ask is that if you win a major award with a player while using the XP sliders, you can come out with enough XP to turn an average player into an amazing player overnight.

I had a K win a Pro Bowl award and get 30K XP, for example.

How are you handling this? I'm currently using these XP sliders in-season but moving to default for the last advance of the regular season, right before the post-season award XP are awarded.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this.
