Re: Cycloniac's TrueSim Madden 17 CPUvCPU/Coach Mode Sliders

Hey Cycloniac,

I just found this thread and I am going to try these tomorrow. Thanks for sharing. I do have a question though. Are these sliders only for actually loading into the game, setting SuperSim to "slow" and watching the game? Or do they work for simming the week from the CFM menu? Because that is what I have been doing the past two days but I've been unhappy with the results I've gotten stats-wise. I've been using slider sets that I used and was happy with when I actually play a game, but when I sim, my running backs almost never get over 4 yards a carry and Carson Wentz just has garbage stats. I get he's a rookie and only 80 OVR but I'm talking consistently bad stats. Any help would be appreciated!

Truthfully, I'm not sure how much of an impact sliders have on sim stats, so these are ideally used for loading into games.

Yeah that's weird I always SIM the fieldgoals and PATs funky stuff always seems to happen if I don't like it shanking left.

No, it's CPU vs CPU. I am not controlling any team at all.

Sorry, haven't been on a couple of days. I just lowered the false start down to 52. I saw somebody else comment that they had done that and figured I'd try it. I also lowered illegal block by 5 (to 65, I think?) because it seemed like my team was getting a ton of those and the other team only one or two at most. I've only played one game since then, so it's too soon to say if it was good. I'll try to let you know how it goes.

I think you earlier mentioned the fatigue was part of the reason we'd start getting a bunch of penalties all in a row at the end of a long drive. It feels like it's really close to being great, but I started to cringe whenever I didn't score from 40 yards or more (which doesn't and shouldn't happen often) because I just figured there would be a string of penalties and eventually a crazy long field goal attempt.

Just played my first game with these sliders. Overall, pretty happy with the results. It felt pretty close but at the same time I felt like I (the Eagles) was really in control most of the game. There were a couple things I noticed though, it was very difficult for my team to get pressure on McCown. The Eagles have a good front four so I feel like more pressure should have been created. Wentz's completion percentage was astronomically high, maybe that's an anomaly, maybe it will be a trend. I'm not sure. Ryan Mathews was bottled up most of the game, his stats are padded by his 57 yard TD run late. And Crowell found lots of room early but my defense bottled him up later in the game. Wentz did fumble the ball 3 times while getting sacked (lost 2), and Mathews fumbled once although I recovered. One fumble lost for Crowell as well. Both tight ends got lots of work this game but it is Ertz and Barnidge so that isn't unreasonable. Overall the good clearly outweighed the bad and I'm very pleased! Do you have any suggestions or opinions about some of the problems I mentioned? Thanks in advance for the help!

Okay, I said earlier that I lowered illegal block to 65, but I was wrong about that. It was holding, but I put it back up to 70. I honestly don't remember why I would have done that. I wasn't having excessive holding penalties.

So all I did was lower the false start to 52. I'll let you know how it goes.

Just a warning after 3 games at 52 with minimal false starts last game I plated it went nuts again. Perhaps fatigue was more of a factor in this game vs others? 75% games without the issue normally is ok if the one on game where serial false start happen isn't so devestating to watch. Keep us posted on what you find. When I get back I'll see how frequently I see the serial false starts in my league.
