I am going to re-install game and we should test false start, holding and offsides lowered. To Hell wit it .... I am just gonna play and stop hoping for realism as we deserve in 2016.
This is the kind of thing that drives me nuts about Madden, and the main reason why I default to NHL year after year.

The idea of a penalty slider having such an effect on gameplay and outcome is outrageous. If there's a holding penalty slider than its quite simple......lowering it should create less holding calls, and raising it should create more holding calls. That's it!! The holding slider shouldn't have an effect on OL/DL interaction, whether certain moves work or not, whether a CPU RB will move outside or cutback inside, etc. Its simple football, and Maddens been doing it for 25+ years now. Why is this still such a problem?

If the line interactions look very similar, isn't that a complete slap in the face to a Madden of 12 years later?

I firmly believe that the devs have very little idea what the sliders do. Which is why in the penalty settings it states "Affects the frequency of holding penalties." Not "affects penalties as well as blocking."

Somewhat. Madden 17 is much much more polished looking, better animations and QB pocket movement is far better.

The thing is that it hasn't really progressed any in years. It has taken major steps back imo. But like I said, the fact that they are very similar is kind of embarrassing for Madden.

The way pockets form is very similar. Animations, movement, QB pocket presence, Madden kills 2k. Honestly that says more about how advanced 2k was in some aspects.

APF2k8 had the best interactions and animations on the line and a really natural and organic look. With that said I see plenty of pressure playing on all pro with pass block sliders on 30 for both human and computer. The thing I hate is when you go into replay and see 2 or 3 players on the d lline and o-line doing the same exact canned and scripted move at the same exact time. It makes you realize how little ratings actually matter on the offensive line.

Ratings actually matter quite a bit. Go use the Cowboys then go use the Seahawks.
