Do sliders actually work?

After all these tuning updates and patches etc I'm starting to think this game is broken.. I play All Madden with modified sliders.. I have USER/CPU QBA at 0 and every single pass is spot on perfect.. I mean why the hell would you need a franchise QB? You could dominate with some low rated rookie.. I also have coverage at 100 for USER and CPU and reaction time at 25 for USER and CPU..

Re: Do sliders actually work?

I agree. I've actually gone back to Madden 16 using Josh's slider set.

I think they did some cool things in M17 but overall it just isn't enjoyable for me. Terrible line play/animations, CPU QBs slowly moving laterally until they take a sack, and just Blitz like tackle breaking - you know, where you push 'X' during a tackle and you punch the defender to the ground... Terrible tackling where a group of players fall like bowling pins... Annnnnd to top it off I think the CPU playcalling is at an all-time worst.

Playing online might be fun, but no matter what I've done with sliders I cannot fix the aforementioned problems.

I've literally tried every set on these forums with my own variations of each. From Rookie to All Madden. I understand it is a video game and it will have it's flaws, but when compared to other sports games Madden is just really lagging behind.

At the end of the day I just want ratings to matter and I cannot figure out how to do that in M17 so I've went back to M16/not playing at all.

I might go back to M16. What slider set were you using for those?

Joshc1977's.

I played 6 full seasons on his M16 sliders. I never got to the superbowl but made the championship a few times! Haha

Maybe deleting the tuner will help

Out of box or with all tuners/patches? Did you get realistic stats and challenge , organic gameplay, etc? I am seriously considering trying it out. This year was the first year I cared about sliders, realism, etc and madden 17 isn't cutting it for me.

I did the uninstall re install. The game is really awesome. Best Madden to date. But you have to stay disconnected from internet
