Re: EA DEV franchise settings

You will not see any sim style realistic stats off of 7 min qtrs.

Kinda proves they dont really look at the cfm sim style player to even test that part of the game. I mean how deep do you think they go into a franchise to test stats..accuracy.****shing..reaction time...etc..etc. if they run off 7 min quarters? Its a very small window of plays to even look at to get a full sim game feel.

I understand now why we'll never have a simulation game and why the other levels (All-Madden, Rookie) are so broken. You can't have realistic numbers with 7 min only. It's impossible.

I would imagine using 7 minute quarters would also impact HOW they play the game, strategically...

There's too little time to run an NFL style offence, let alone some old skool ground and pound...

Might be entertaining, but sacrifices context, IMHO...

Obviously, the play count would be very problematic, but it would actually be intriguing to take a look at what they see and then slowly start to make changes off of that to see where things start to "break".

We'd still have to make assumptions about what they actually use; those assumptions would include:
  • CFM autosubs set to 49/50
  • MM settings completely unchanged (but allowing for visual settings to be modified)
  • Assists turned "on", which would be the default for AP.

(...and yes....I'm crazy enough to actually try...lol)

I'm pretty sure the assists are "off" at default...

Good call on those CFM subs, but I don't know that they're playing inside CFM...

Prob head to head / Play Now?

Anyway:

Looking forward to hearing about what you see, if you plug and play...

Re: EA DEV franchise settings

This isn't surprising to me because Clint mentioned on Twitter about a month ago(I know King you are tired of hearing it lol) that the game was tested on all pro default with 6 to 9 minute quarters.

Even from the Ian days, the game was tested on all pro default.

HA!

Well, "played on" and "tested with" are two different things...

I'd be curious about the exact nature and process of this alleged "testing"...
