I always call a pass out of the huddle, if the defense shows C2 I (usually) audible to the most advantageous run based on the blocking assignments...then just lay off turbo - follow the design - cut back if needed - profit.

For example;
Strong I Twins - I'll call Dagger cuz I love that play. Defense comes out in 4-3 Normal 2 deep Man under (CBs are lined up on the WRs, both S deep). I'll audible to Outside Zone knowing that the DE is likely in force, then just watch if that DE crashes in or plays force.
  • If the DE crashes in, cut outside the TE and wait for the FB to pick up the OLB then head to where it's green..
  • If the DE plays outside leverage, check the 3t next:
  • If the 3t crashes in, cut inside your TE (between the 3t and the DE), follow your blocks, look to truck someone for 3-7 yards.
  • If the 3t crashed outside too - break inside your Tackle/Guard and look for a cutback lane.

Another example;
Strong I Twins - Dagger. Defense comes out in 3-4 Even Cover 2 zone (LB lined up on your WR, CB playing force), your Guards are uncovered so can pull - given that one of the LBs is already playing out of position on the weak-side, call Counter. Watch your RG pick up the OLB/DE, let your FB spank the weakside LB, then look to truck the FS out of his helmet.

Another example;
Strong I Twins - Dagger. Defense comes out in single-high look... stick with the Dagger call.

At minimum, you've really got to have an inside and an outside run available as an audible - but by having two zone calls (inside and outside) and two power calls (power and counter) it gives you everything you need to punish anyone playing 2 deep.
I'll definitely look to start involving more zone running plays in my formations. I usually make at least a semi correct read before and just after the snap, I think my biggest issue is not being able to find my plan B if the defense is able to collapse my first hole, since I was pretty over powered running the ball on All-Pro, and All-Madden is definitely harder/faster reads. With 65 parity and 65 run block running is definitely getting better, though I am playing against Miami...not the strongest D. McCoy has 56 yards on I believe 15 attempts at half. Gillislee has 32 on 7, and Taylor has 34 on 4.

Yeah for sure - I know the feeling. If the DT insta-sheds into the designed gap, it's really tough to get away from that. I usually have 5-10 runs for loss each game just because of the All-Madden insta-shed. Zone runs should help a little though - they're designed so if your designed read isn't open, a cut-back generally is.

Your stats are looking good though; 122y from 26a (4.7 ypc)...even taking the Taylor out of the mix you've got 4 ypc. That's good stuff man...it's a grind on AM but you're getting it done!

That's funny, it usually gets me with holding penalties. I had 3 fourth quarter drives all die because of holding penalties after converting 3rd and longs last night. Couldn't convert the ensuing 3rd and 20's.

I ended up losing that game, but had more rush yards than I've had in awhile.
