There's nothing I can think of that's going to even your time of possession. It's just your play style. It seems you have long steady drives and then shut out the cpu pretty quick.



Edit: OR the cpu scores pretty quick on you.

Something I forgot to mention that I've mentioned in previous years is trying out Coach Recommendations (I don't remember the exact name of this feature) when selecting plays on offense and/or defense. It is as if your Offensive / Defensive coordinator is picking the plays for you. The way I have it set up is using Enhanced Playcall so there are three plays displayed, I pick from one of the three plays no matter the situation (always taught to obey your coach). I used to sometimes change the Playcall if it was a 4th and 1 or 3rd and 1 but then I started just going along with sticking to whatever the recommendation play was and it brought more fun and excitement for me. I still audible out of the play if I don't think it's going to work (most qbs do in today's game). Just thought I'd mention it.

It is mostly my long drives, but the CPU does score quickly at times. I just won another tight game 29 to 23 as Cincinnati against Houston. I had 36 minutes of possession to Houston's 24.

If you're having fun close games I wouldn't care about time of possession, Honestly. I'll say it again and again and again, this game will NEVER be perfect, don't expect it to be.

To be quite honest, Madden year after year continues to be a BROKEN game and it requires a lot of tuning via sliders to help make the game "better" but it will never be "perfect". This year's Madden has been the best game so far IMO. This game, Madden 09 and Madden 2004 have been my favorites.
