Re: Wiz Slider Observations

Sincerest apologies for not checking in....

True story.....

Like some of you, I like to lay some "juice" during football season.... Nothing crazy, just a little something to wet my beak, if you know what I mean... I used to hit Vegas a lot for the dining, craps, roulette, entertainment, and of course the sportsbooks. Well, I am now a little long in the tooth, and get out to Vegas once a year, mayyyyyyybeeee; all depends on the wifey's mood and whether I am paid up on our retirement stash...

Anyhoooo's I digress.... Well since the advent of "legit" online casino's, the Wiz has been known to throw a few bones here, and a few bones there... Nothing crazy, usually 5 to 10 team parlays, dropping anywhere between 10 to 50 smackeroos tops, mixing it up between some college and pro...

Wellllll, as you might imagine by my absence, the Wiz hit TWO parlays!!! One paid out 17grrr and the other a click over 11grr... I found out about the first parlay at about 5:30 pm on Saturday.... Well the wifey had already left with her gal pals, and me and the boys decided to ditch testing the sliders buy some round trip tix on Southwest Airlines and hit Vegas instead with the winnings... Since the GGG v Canelo fight was on, welllll we couldn't let that one go by without trying to make the fight live. Tix were stupid expensive so we watched fight on big screen and had an outstanding steak dinner and some brewski's.... While at Vegas, laid my second parlay, and found out that hit during the Sunday night football game (10 team parlay). Here is how it rolled out... By the afternoon games, I had nailed 7 of the ten picks already, so me and the boys decided to ditch testing the sliders, again, order up wings, pizza and plenty of cold ones, and hit the last number on the parlay when Rodgers threw the last TD in the 4th quarter of the Sunday Night Football game.

Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooly smokes did I just have the weekend of a lifetime!!!! Wifey was initially FUMING when she got home and I was living it up in Vegas, but she got over that tune when I got her a designer purse she has been wanting, of course I did not plan on buying her that purse, until I took her call via Facetime on my iPhone and saw the flames coming out of her eyes ;-) ...

But now I am back to earth and hope to deliver the promised goods no later than Friday, although I think it will be sooner. Sincerest apologies, but I am certain that putting yourself in my shoes, any of you that is of age, would have done EXACTLY the same thing.

I think that my inbox is tapped out, so if you have tried to send me a private message, not sure if I will receive it. Lots and lots of posts on this thread to respond to and am planning to respond, but right know I have to get the wicked brew finished up and deliver them for your enjoyment.

Here is where I am at:

1) Forget about defensive substitutions, once again, I cannot get them to work without the game going more sideways than Trumps twitter feed...

2) However, I do have RB rotations going on and the game did not go nuclear on me... In fact, the WR's, RB's deliver play that is a lot closer to what I see on Sunday's (jump cuts, spins, aggressively going after the ball on throws to them, picking up their blocks, etc)

3) Forget about penalties for the time being.... It's going to take a lot of lab work for me to ascertain whether I can achieve the proper ratio and mix of penalties without the game becoming the Seattle Seahawks offensive line....

4) QB AI, QB scrambling and acting smart-er, cheesy CPU QB sacks, tame ROBO CPU QB...... Not perfect, but IMHO a lot better than what the game plays at straight up default

5) Tougher game play from the CPU AI in general, a la All-Madden mode, yup, I think so, that is IF you don't go cheese up the game with unrealistic play calling/blitzing, button mashing or take advantage of "money plays" I avoid calling any single offensive play twice, unless they are goal line dives by the RB?QB at the goal line or on 4th and inches in the 4th qtr and I need to go for it to win the game.

6) On initial sliders Coach Adjustments is still not tuned yet.... I know EXACTLY how I think it should be used in a SIM style of play, but I have not quite dialed it in too my taste. The wicked brew will have SOME coach adjustment suggestions, but still tinkering with it to see if I can flush out what I believe is its use in a SIM style of play

7) Less HIGH SCORING affairs? Yes sir. Again, a lot depends on how you approach the game and play calling choices on defense and offense.

8) My brew FORCES you to make good defensive calls to stop the CPU QB from going Tom Brady on you. That means know when to put pressure and know WHO are the "CLUTCH" players that the CPU QB will tend to find first.

9) I would love it if EA would fix the glitch that prevents the CPU QB from throwing the ball away. Secondly, if EA could address the CPU PLAYCALLING. Often the CPU AI chooses bonehead plays, at field positions and yardage & downs, that NOT EVEN Rex Ryan would call.

Finally, my theory that something was up with the CPU QB AI clock and how it correlates to the pass blocking and CPU WR route running I believe is accurate and is part of the CPU QB AI and CPU cheese sack issue. I believe you guys are going to be somewhat surprised on the improvement of the active/mobile scrambling quarterback play.

Certainly not perfect (until Madden is re-coded from scratch, game will always be imperfect) but almost there peeeps...

Wizzzzzzz, out.

I might be reading it wrong but I think he meant with his adjustments heís seeing CPU QB AI play similar to how they do on all madden level. As long as you play sim. Could be wrong but thatís how I interpreted his statement/mention around all madden.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh....

I had not even posted the "Brew" and somebody already dinged my star rating....

Sad.

This is why ol' vets stay away from sharing their stuff in this forum, noooo respect.

Regarding the posted "brew" play them thoroughly and follow the HOUSE/CFM rules posted and I assure YOU that the SIM experience you will experience is SOLID and just may save your marriage/relationship or simply, make you like your dog, more than you already do!
