Do you guys know what causes players to drop a level in development? Superstar regresses to star, star to quick, ect. It used to give a reason in the progression history(didn’t meet goals, gave up over 4000 passing yards, not enough catches, ect.) but now I can’t tell.

I’m not worried about my team so much. I get really psyched when a guy gains a level but I’ve come to accept a guy is close to his potential when I lose a level. But pretty much all the top corners and linebackers lost a level. Weirdly a couple 30+ year olds gained a level. And obviously if I can help my guys who are signed to longer deals then I’m all for it.
You shouldn’t pay much attention to the overalls. I pick up older CBs all the time and there’s not much of a drop off. As long as they don’t lose awareness, everything is cool.

That's huge. 62 to 72 is a big leap. Now factor in if he started as a 78 ovr player. After 5 years he would be 88 ovr. Pretty damn good.

My point is that the system doesn't work the way you want. It doesn't allow really low rated players to ever become stars ovr wise. Maybe stat wise but that's all. Adjusting the slider will skew all S progression and jack everything up. Now if he was a Superstar then he'd progress much better. Probably 4-5 ovr. So you have an average S, who is lowly rated, and he progressed 2 ovr. That is normal.

With that do as you like. But I'd suggest just editing your player to reflect what you think he deserves instead of adjusting the sliders.
Understandable nothing to do on your part but I wish ea would fix this, basically makes anyone who is below a 70 impossible to every be a valuable asset without some insane stats and training, wish the way we progressed players matched how they changed overalls each year

I don’t mean player regression and overalls. I mean decreasing development traits. A player goes from a Superstar to a Star, Star to Quick, Quick to Normal, in the last week of thI season because...? I have some good guesses but no clear explanation

Development traits are changing by player performances, like in real life. For example if you have rookie with normal trait but he perform much more above his level he will get higher development trait. From my experience I can tell that also injuries have much impact on that.

Great work. Will these work in a CFM with 4 users and 28 CPU teams or will everything be skewed? Thanks!
