JoshC1977's Madden 19 Sliders (for CFM Only)

Anyone finding it tough to shed blocks? forces me to play as LB which i usually do but like to switch it up to DE once in a while

getting some good, challenging games though

Josh, loving these so far. Only thing I’m noticing is a lot of sacks. Any advice/have you seen the same?

Excessive sacks happen in Madden due to:

1) CPU AI blitzes all too much and EA has not tweaked play designs so offense AI will pick up uneven blitzes

2) QB play needs improvements - most times QBs will roll into sacks, stand there and take a sack, without throwing ball away

Sliders are of minimal help because of this. You can edit LT, RT, LG, RG, FB to boost pass blocking and awareness which does help a bit, but for most part you will still see large amount of sacks.

I use a variety of them depending on game context. There is absolutely no reason not to use them.

Yes, for sure. But it definitely depends on matchups. One piece of advice, don't always jump the snap. Sometimes it is better to "feather" the stick and then use the directional controls to gain leverage before executing your move. If you jump the snap every time, especially as a DE, the tackles will often drive you way outside and you won't be able to do jack. Like everything else, change it up.

As CAPA said, it's Madden. I haven't seen anything egregious (i.e. I'm not seeing double-digit sack games or anything crazy). It's just the usual "too many sacks in Madden vs real life" meme. I'm not really worried about it, but I do understand why you're asking.

Want to give these sliders a try just have a couple questions first?

1. Would active roster work or should i use preseason 75-man? I only ask bc some players have drastically improved/regressed (i think Mahomes went from mid 70s to now a 90 in the latest roster update).

2. Offline or online cfm or does it not matter?

3. Just curious to see what you have your visual and audio settings and if they affect anything.

1. I still very much prefer the 75-man preseason roster for a CFM to avoid over-inflation of player ratings (i.e. your Mahomes example). You can always make edits as desired...
2. It doesn't seem to matter; but unless you plan on super-simming like 10 seasons, there is no benefit to using online.
3. Audio - no idea...I think default as I tend to play with sound off anyways. Visual - I turn off every bloody piece of in-play UI I can...I'd turn off the pass icons if I could. I do leave previous play call on, but that is just more me always looking at CPU tendencies to see if we have issues.

90 qb acc fixes this stuff and more that’d take too long to list. I see QBS roll back, but since the patch the always throw it, usually outta bounds. Or they have so far.

Accidentally played with 75 man roster, and knew in 2 drives i’d Put the wrong roster in. Night on planet earth and day on Planet mars was what it was like. 75 preseason makes players play like theyre in mud and coaches call plays like they’re high school coaches.
