Re: JoshC1977's Madden 19 Sliders (for CFM Only)

Just played two games with the exact setup from the OP. Plays great but too many injuries for my taste.

In the first game I played, both teams combined for 5 injuries, 3 of them "bruised sternum" (out for game) and 2 of them major injuries (6 weeks and 8 weeks). In the second game both teams combined for 4 injuries, 2 of them for multiple weeks.

The gameplay is really good but at this rate we will simply run out of bodies over the course of a season - at least in comparison to the low rate of injuries in simmed games.

When it showed the play the defense ran on the next playcall screen, the unflipped playcall was supposed to have the CB blitzing from the right. So basically as soon as I picked my run play, they knew exactly where I was running, and autoflipped to it.

Turn that stuff off, and you have a much more fair game, and probably more success on the ground without the defense auto adjusting to where you're running.

Unfortunately, this game has gotten almost unplayable at this point with the amount of injuries on this setting. As an exhibition, itís great because thereís no long term repercussions to the injuries. However, if youíre playing CFM and from ONE game you lose your starting RE (8 weeks), backup RE (5 weeks), starting HB (4 weeks), starting MLB (4 weeks), and slot CB (out for the game), itís hard to justify playing this game.

For those worried about injuries:-

See below stats from NFL in 2015

NFL teams have to deal with injuries all the time.

I've played 3 games so far and have 2 players on 5+ week injuries and had 4 players out during the game only. So thats pretty close to the averages below

Now, I am 100% willing to admit the possibility that this is placebo....but this is what I have been doing. Just before each game, go to the CFM slider screen and hit the reset button and then back-out.

I'm not seeing all the crazy injury durations many are reporting (aside for the one outlier from yesterday....the one time I did not do this). In fact, 2 games into my current CFM, I have no one on the injured list (though there have been some in-game injuries). I'm plowing ahead to gather more sample size....I'd like others to do the same.

This sounds pretty realistic or "sim" to me. It seems like no one really wants to play "sim" football. Interesting...
