I can tell this set is balanced because my first game with these sliders had like 15 pass deflections total but completions were possible yet contested to where ratings matter. Both QBs in the high 60%. Very nice.

Run game was great too. Some stuffed runs and some big ones, just like real NFL.

I threw four dumb INTs, being late at night I was half awake near the end, but would have won a close one otherwise. I also had 5 sacks in the first half but then only one (strip sack of QB) in the second. I attribute this to the individual game though, I see high sack numbers probably due to Cincys stacked Dline (Atkins, Dunlap, Lawson) and usering the Dline.

The one change I'm making for myself right now is raising the INJ to 30, nice thing this year is a lot of injuries are minor and sideline guys for a quarter or two, just not seeing enough at lower numbers, possibly due to the lowered fatigue. Can't say if either patch changed things but it's also key to raise it before simming in CFM or the CPU won't have many injuries.

clears things up a bit. i forgot about threshold. ill give this set a shot. seeing a lot of good things about it. i also like the lower threshold. i usually run 45. so i think going lower the passing game will have more openings and balance. the only thing im concerned with is getting a cpu run game on 55. 70 seems to be good but ill roll with how the op is set up and see what happens.

any feedback on cpu running game at 55 on this set?

Great explanation and good feedback. For clarification were you on all pro or all Madden?

Surprisingly 55 RBK works. Like Matt said, higher makes them rely too much on the blocking and downfield blocking is a bit OP. The patch helps a lot here. I thought I would be raising it, sometimes it starts off a bit rough for the CPU but in the end the averages are realistic and the ball carrier move animations and big runs are fun to see. There's definitely another slider or two working covertly here, maybe fumble or threshold even so I'm not messing with it for now.

Threshold is super important for coverage, at default 50 or higher it's super arcade-y and speed ratings don't matter, plus coverage is super tight across the board. Lowering is vital for coverage balance IMO since you want fast guys to get a little separation but not too much, and it makes the matchups at DB matter as well, which you can adjust and it adds a nice sim layer to each game. If you are testing pass sliders threshold and Pass Block need to be constant since speed and pocket pressure are huge influences on the AI and user.

This is what I've found anyway, I think it's mostly in line with Matt but if he says otherwise always go with the pro

AM or AP.

I was rocking AM before patch but now to me its unplayable as I can do nothing on offense, either get sacked within 2 seconds and/or everyone is completely covered. I think I need to go back to AP as I was never an AM player but wanted to try it this year and with Matts sliders I had 2 great games until the patch dropped

All madden for sure. All pro CPU is just not aggressive enough, running and passing. AP is fine if you take a hands off approach to defense and handicap your play calling some but everyone plays a little different which is problematic for slider sets in general. With AM you want to tame the robo CPU but with AP you try to make the AI better if possible and help the CPU some.

Best thing to do is find out what area is causing difficulty for you and adjust that to jive with your own play style. Maybe bump up user Pass Block a lil bit and that will give you more time and more time for receivers to get open. Just be careful with the pass coverage related sliders and threshold since they are pretty delicately balanced. Helps to sub guys in and take advantage of mismatches, check the matchups presnap.
