Re: Madden 19 CPU vs CPU Sliders

Just finished first 4 qtrs of my first 9 min qtrs game Titans vs Miami. Game has gone into OT at 22-22 but took the stats down before it started.

I kept everything the same as the OP sliders, no changes at all except i forgot to do the formation subs, made sure this was the active roster. The game was playing pretty well and i was quite pleased with the stats too. Very different from what i saw in the 3 games at 10 mins qtrs, the offense seemed back under control and yds looked earned. QB Comp was a little higher than i would have liked and i hope it gives some more variation between rush/pass atts in my next games, but its a good starting point.

Game stats - Titans - Miami
Total Offense 343 - 397
Rush yds 118 - 50
Pass yds 225 - 347
Ist Downs 19 - 19
PR 0 - 0
KR 99 - 164
Turnovers 1-1
3rd dwn 6-14 (42%) - 6-13 (46%)
Red Zone 3-3 1 td - 4-4 1 td
Pens 6-54 - 10-85

Total plays 126, 74 pass, 49 run, 3 sacks

Passing - Mariota 30 of 38 for 243 yds, 78%, 1 td, 1 int, 6.3 ave, long 21
Tannehill 28 of 36 350 yds, 77%, 0td, 1 int 9.7 ave, 42 long

Rushing
Titans 27 atts, 118 yds, 4.37 ave, 0TD, 0 Fum, 4 BTKS, 20 long
Henry 14-74, D.Lewis 12-45

Miami 22 atts, 50 yds, 2.27 ave, 7 btks, 0 TD, 0 Fum, 11 long
Gore 11-42, Drake 10 -16, Tannehill 1 - -8

Receiving:
Titans WR 11, TE 11 with 2 by backups, HB 8
D.Walker 9-90, C.Davis 5-62, T Sharpe 4-36, D.Lewis 4-15, T.Taylor 2-7 TD

Miami WR 12, TE 9 3 by backups, HB 7
Gore 6-51, A.Derby 6-95, Amendola 5-66, Gesicki 2-66

14 TFL 10 Titans 4 Miami
3 Sacks 2 Miami 1 Titans
2 Ints 1 each
8 Deflections 5 Titans 3 Miami

Re: Madden 19 CPU vs CPU Sliders

OT finished and the Dolphins won 25-22.

Miami had first possession and after a good 7 yd run by Gore, Drake broke off a 20+ on the outside only for it to be called back for a false start. 2nd and 14 he was stopped for no gain leaving 3rd-14. Tannehill went for the long bomb to D.Parker who had a couple of yds separation on the CB and was in the clear for an easy in td. The throw was slightly overthrown though and Parker couldn't quite keep hold of the 1 handed grab he made for it.

Titans started back on their own 15 and looked likely to win as Mariota drove them down field into Miami territory but the drive broke down at the Miami 32 after some good defensive stops. The long FG was blocked and gave Tannehill another chance to dive down and leave them a 40 yd FG to win with 16 seconds remaining.

Good stats sdoug. Wow what a difference the updated books are compared to the default book. Was about ready to toss my console into the backyard and burn it with lighter fluid and lighter knots.

Always make sure Mack is with the bears and cooper with the cowboys.

You sound like how i was when i ran games all day yesterday with the out of the box rosters. The game’s AI played like Atari-era.

Re: Madden 19 CPU vs CPU Sliders

Last game for the night just finished. Rams at Raiders 43 - 28 Rams win. Again using OP sliders, active roster and 9 min qtrs. Deleted profile before game.

This was never as close a game as the scoreline suggests, Rams were home and dry by half time 20 points up. Only some desperate long shots downfield brought the Raiders to a more respectable score.

Could have been a different game if M.Lynch hadn't left the game ion the opening play with a bruised sternum and out for the game, but to be fair the Rams totally dominated and the Raiders D had no answer to Gurley who ran over them all game.

Game stats Rams - Raiders
Total Offense yds 524 - 424
Rush yds 244 - 49
Pass yds 280 - 375
1st Dwns 23 - 16
PR 0 - 0 (Only 2 punts in the game)
KR 103 - 160
3rd Down 3-9 33% - 6-12 50%
Red zone 8-8 4tds - 3-5 1td
Pens 4-20 - 1-10
total plays: 117 - pass 62, rush 53, sacks 2

Passing
Goff 22 of 28 for 280 yds, 78%, 2tds, 0 ints, 10.0 ave, 55 long
Carr 24 of 34 for 389 yds, 70%, 2tds 2 ints, 11.4 ave, 71 long

Rushing
Rams 34 atts, 244 yds, 7.17 ave, 14 btks, 34 long
Gurley 26-179 (2 over 20 rushes), M.Brown 5-25, Goff 2-34, J.Kelly 1-6 TD

Raiders 19 atts, 49 yds, 2.57 ave, 3 btks, 10 long
D.martin 12.29 td, J.Richard 6-14, Lynch 1-6

Receiving:
Rams WR 12, TE 4 (1 backup) HB 6 and 4 drops
C.Kupp 6-97
Gurley 5-19 2 tds
B.Cooks 2-69

Raiders WR 15, TE 3 (1 backup), HB 6 and 3 drops
J.Richard 6-28
M.Bryant 6-99
S.Roberts 4-112 td
B.Lafell 3-70
D.harris 1-29 td

10 TFL - Rams 8 Raiders 2
2 sacks both Rams
2 Ints both Rams
1 F.Fum Rams
11 Deflections 8 Rams, 3 Raiders

Overall another good game and stats looking good also, Raiders passing yds were high because they were so far behind and gave up the run game in the 3rd qtr and hit a few long bombs. Run game also looked good, really liked seeing the decisions Gurley was making and the lanes he was choosing to run into, and also getting to receiving Tds. Hardly saw any from HB's before.

A couple of small things concerned me, QB comp % was still quite high, i can't make a decision just based off 2 games but would like to see it drop to around 60-65% for most with the occasional around the 70+ mark.

The other thing was just 2 punts in the whole game, i didn't notice during the game only after checking the stats. It didn't feel as if both teams were just moving the ball downfield with ease every possession but they must have with 7 FG's in the game. I didn't look how many punts the first game had but think there must have been more.
