First off WOW with that Mack trade. Congrats man. Second, thank you for responding. So I pretty much have to download 'IMACROSTER' then go in and edit every player with 'Big Hitter' set to yes on every team?

I really didn't want to and for a long long time I wasn't planning on doing so, but there have been so many trades, new contracts and injuries that have developed over pre-season, I feel like it will offer a better CFM experience moving forward.

Thankfully, by using these rosters and appropriate sliders for your skill level, we have a very good game with M19, and we're only in September. A few days worth of work on a WK1 roster that will provide the most accurate roster which can be used as a foundation for 11 months of (hopefully) fantastic gameplay is worth it in the grand scheme of things.

I think the entire project will be 8-10 hours worth of work, so I'd like to think I could get it done in one day if I avoid making other plans. However, please be patient when the WK1 roster does drop, as right now I can't find any news on when that will be, so I don't know how quickly I'll be able to jump on it when it is released.
So I should wait to download the roster until you put the final one out then right? Because it'd make no sense to dl the roster and make all the edits only to have to do all the edits again once you put out your final roster in which we'll have to make all the edits to Big Hitter again right? Or am I getting this all wrong?

You're getting this wrong...haha.

You don't need to make any edits. Thus the benefit of me doing the edits.

The OP lists all of the changes made. In regards to the 'Big Hitter' trait, that is set to OFF for everyone, except for those who have a reputation of making big hits. There are 2,470 players in the game (currently). I would say that only around 20 of them have the 'Big Hitter' trait ON. Khalil Mack is one of them due to his aggressive nature when tackling.

If you want more info around this, give the OP a read which should clarify everything.

And yes, if you want to use WK1 rosters, then wait until the end of the week when I have got my hands on EA's new roster and made all the edits.

Hope that helps.

Can't help you with Pens, I'm afraid. Check out Armor & Swords thread. His penalty sliders bring out the occasional calls, but it's a well known thing among the Madden community that penalties are broken and cannot be fixed without completely breaking the game.

Penalty sliders mess with the gameplay, so it's something the sim community have to sadly live without.

Correct. When their roster drops I will use that as the base roster.

I likely won't be looking in to creating players. If a player needs to be created, he is likely to be very low on the depth chart, and I'm just not getting in to that for the sake of it. Accurate rosters are cool and all that, but by the time you're in your 2nd and 3rd year of CFM, how much does it really matter?

I will, as always, do my research on EA's roster vs. teams official opening day roster. If there are big discrepancies, I'll consider it, but I want to actually get going with my CFM, otherwise we could all be here for weeks, haha!
Thanks for the reply man.

If Madden steps up their game and release an opening day roster over the next two days I think it's time to start my franchise

iMac, I apologize if this has been touched upon but do your rosters prevent ridiculous player cuts in CFM to high drafted rookies? I canít stand when I see a second rounder dropped when he was drafted this year and the team keeps a 10 year vet one overall better.

Easiest fix for that is taking control of all 32 and doing cuts yourself.

This is why I believe Madden should implement a "future value" rating in addition to OVR for CPU team management decision-making. This way, they would be able to see that a 22 y/o 75 OVR has more worth to the team than a 34 y/o 79 OVR.

iMac. I am in the process of doing an opening day roster (and creating UDFA's). When I'm done (probably by tomorrow) I can hand it off to you and you can do the edits if you would like. Would probably be easier for us both.
