Are you noticing an increase in drops at all? Or an increase in Roughing the Passer calls?

I haven't changed anything and maybe it was just those most recent games but I have an inkling there's been an increase in drops and roughing calls.

No, everything is the same, nothing has changed. Games will vary., drops and penalties look fine.

CFM update: Season Two Week 5
The Raiders can't win a game and the Falcons can't lose one

Re: cdcool's 15 min Quarter: CPU vs CPU (Watched General Manager) sliders

Despite a recent full reset, just had a game go crazy. 45-41 in OT, with Andy Dalton breaking the NFL passing record by throwing for 585 yards, whilst the Ravens QB threw over 400. On top of that, the Bengals RB was over 130 yards running and the Ravens QB had scrambled for over 120. Needless to say I restarted.

What's interesting is in redoing the game, it's playing out completely differently. Instead of being a shootout with both teams exchanging scores, the Ravens built a big lead which the Bengals have been chipping away at. Into the 4th now, Ravens up 26-14, 11 mins to go.

It’s the different weather that causes all these descranpancies. I bet it was a clear weather game, then the reset made it a partly cloudy. Weather matters wth these. Something all of us slider makers have been making an oversight on.

This is why Play Now plays “different.” It’s set at partly cloudy for default weather. Clear weather always produces shootouts without the right slider arrangement.

That's interesting. I never notice the weather, is there anything you can see on screen (other than the pre-game outside stadium video) that tells you weather and wind direction? I've never noticed tbh.

I've been concerned lately that the match results have been somewhat scripted, in that it seems like if any team develops any kind of run, be it winning or losing, it's almost a certainty that it will come to an end. Yeah I know that sounds obvious, but it seems like if a team has a big win run going and they meet a team that's struggling, instead of getting the blowout you'd expect, the struggling team gets the W. Conversely, if a team comes into a game on a losing streak against a winning team and that is better on paper, they'll raise their game and win.

If it was isolated incidents, here and there, you might never notice but because it's happening all through the league each week, it can seem pre-ordained. To the point where you can look at the records of both teams going into the game and predict the winner before a ball is played. Not necessarily how the match will go play by play, but the end result.

I was actually glad the Ravens won that rematch against the Bengals in the end, because Baltimore had been on a 6 game winning run, whereas the Bengals were up and down each week at .500 percentage. It showed at least that there is some element of unpredictability about the game.

Thatís why I never thought about weather in cfm, itís never mentioned.

Over a 250+ test games in both cfm and play now. Time of game also matters. Primetime games are thrillers 80 percent of the time. Not necessarily shootouts. Just high drama.
