Arcade mode boosts animations. Last year i used arcade in the initial setup, but used sim in cfm. It really helped in Madden 18. This year it doesnt work the same. It’s not worth fooling with this year, mixing arcade and sim or competetive. Last year, before the final march patch, you could blend stuff like this and it worked well. But something changed with it after madden 18 march patch. And it carried over to madden 19.

Hahahaha... I know, I know. I'll try another go at it later with your exact settings and see what happens.

As for why arcade mode, I tried to explain that in the post. But i was attempting to get the athletes to move better by opening up the "wacky" animations from arcade mode. That's not what I got. (small sample size of 1 tho)

Last year, sim, competetive, and arcade game styles was a new feature and you could blend the game styles until that march patch. Ea closed off that avenue somehow. But whe it was open to blend, it was really good stuff. Shnait also used this with his hum/cpu set and had great results as well.

Wish it still worked.

No more consistent 400 passing yard games with 5 TD's, Rushing game is still intact.

End of Year season stats will look a lot better now.

This is the first defensive game I've seen, so it is possible.
Passing isn't as aggressive, Rushing is on the high side but within reason.
3rd down conversions look good.

Re: cdcool's 15 min Quarter: CPU vs CPU (Watched General Manager) sliders

How I play Recap

Controlling 32 teams
Courtesy of my good friend NeetoCheetoII, the only reason why I bought Madden PC 2019

CPU vs CPU with Supersim and have control of all teams in Owner mode in a Franchise

Controlling all 32 teams
In Franchise Hub just hit R3, pressing down the right stick which will bring up Madden Messenger
Then hit RB to select Create Character
Then Select Team
Then select Style
then Owner
R3 to switch characters or add a new one (Do this for all 32 teams)
R3 means pressing down the right stick

Watching Games
Go into Supersim by pushing in the left stick, using the B button or going to the pause menu and selecting "Super Sim after the game starts.
X select Speed Slow
Jump Forward select End of Game

I enjoy doing the GM management functions for all 32 teams and watching the results of that by watching each game and not simming any so the stats line up.

I make unbiased decisions for every team before each game which may include roster changes, trades, contract negotiations, Free Agent Bidding, Scouting, and weekly training and hiring and firing staff. Some functions can be allocated to CPU via the League settings.

I have no interest in doing the direct coaching functions such as calling plays or playing games, I leave that to the Head Coach and Staff.

It’s exciting watching the results of each game based on decisions made for the teams playing, tracking the stats and scores etc.

I’m the Owner and GM not the Coach and have all Owners selected in the league options and not Player or Coach.

It’s a more strategic way of playing than tactical.
