You can also see that my stickwork is absolute garbage, but just the threat of me being there makes the CPU QB look to make passes that are riskier, and make more mistakes.

I actually had a much better game going to back to week 1 rosters so I’m a lot happier now

JUst wanted to add that usering MLB really does help the defensive gameplay and I personally think MM injury at 10 plays better

Also, in your coaching adjustments in the play call menu, do you have your best DB's following their best WR's? This makes huge difference. If you're playing the Chiefs and Tyreek lines up in the slot, and your 3rd best CB is covering him, that's a huge mistake, and will (and should) be costly.

Another thing I do in the Coaching Adjustments menu is set my "Ball in air" defense to "Play the Receiver" this leads to way more good, mid-catch collision animations (at least to me) that lead to more incomplete passes.

In a perfect world, I don't think it would be necessary to be so user-heavy in the middle of the field, but this is Madden, and it seems the QB looks there first. Take it away, and you'll see many more mistakes, leading to incomplete passes and interceptions.

Also, how many sacks are you getting?

The Chiefs averaged a little better than 3 a game, and they were tops in the league.

The league average is somewhere around 2.5.
When I set my best CB to cover their best receiver in the adjustments menu, on half the plays my CBs run across the field after the snap to cover the other WR.

I literally never see that.

On what defensive calls does that happen on?

Maybe it's the match up zones?

I don't ever use those, I generally go straight zone or straight up man.

How often do you Base Align?

I pretty much always have base align set, could that be the reason?

I just tested it, it is definitely the reason.

It seems to be two different inputs, and the CPU is required to follow both of them.

So, the CPU will man lock best-on-best, but then also follow your command that it Base Aligns, so Stephon Gilmore would still be responsible for say Julio Jones, but when commanded to Base Align he's going to start the play in his "home spot".

Then exactly what you say would happen, happens, as Gilmore then rushes across the field to cover Julio.

I never really base align, but it definitely looks like those two commands absolutely won't work together.

Re: Matt10's Madden 20 Sliders

I read the Dev notes on today’s title update. It shouldn’t change gameplay in terms of the sliders.
