Agreed on all counts.

Heck, with the Illegal Man Downfield toggled "on" last night, I could've run an entire franchise with 100% straight default everything (even injuries)...I was enjoying it THAT much. Ultimately, I decided to go 50/50 on the injuries just to re-balance and tighten-up a few things.

Part A: Main Menu Settings/Sliders:

Difficulty - All-Pro

Injuries - 50

Huge impact here. This tightens up how close the players play to one another. At the default setting, there are huge gaps in coverage.


(I'm kinda confused, you said at the default setting there's huge gaps in coverage. isn't 50 default? )

No, 10 is default in the main menu and 40 is default in cfm

Edit: added clarity to that line in the op.

Hey Josh, on defense who do you user and do you switch when the ball is in the air or when a pass is completed to make the tackle?

From an animation based standpoint it was night and day.

- OL/DL interactions: Much less “patty cake” and more of a natural collapse of the pocket. Ignore sack numbers, for me it’s about that pocket collapse

- QB animations: Eyes moving from primary to secondary option. Go check the replays you will notice this. Also saw a lot less of the whacky pocket movement. It’s not totally removed, but it was a more natural movement IMO

-AI run game: HB’s were back to hitting a hole and getting downhill quickly. Was seeing a lot of pathfinding issues until last nights changes. I got gashed for 150+ vs the Jags rookie backup HB.

- DB animation: My guys were arriving to the catch point MUCH sooner. Saw a lot more contested catches, especially on those hitch routes. My #1 CB was more on the hip at the catch point Vs trailing the hitch by 3-4 yards.

I highly recommend following the OP exactly for multiple games. I’ll be evaluating these for the remainder of my first Panthers season, unless Josh finds something else that is a cant miss

Iím a d-line guy and will switch off once the play gets to the next level (whether on a pass or run).
