Mix and match your coverages, use the shading functionality, and switch to your defenders (use R1 to strip balls out at time of reception). Most importantly...get that pressure....push the pocket....get in their faces...even if you don't get sacks. You got to get them out of rhythm and the minute you do that, those incompletions will start happening in buckets. Get better teams, get better coverage guys, stop using the highest OVR guy at every position and use specialist roles wisely....it'll improve - the ratings WILL matter.
I can attest to this. I'm seeing more bad throws if my Lineman shows "Winning" against the Offensive Lineman. I'll take my top DE and tap X as fast as possible while engaged, and simultaneously use my L-stick to try to move around the blocker. I don't have to get to the QB, but if my defender gets close and turns green and says "Winning", many times the QB will rush a throw and throw it in the middle of nowhere.

Hey Josh,

First off, thanks for the work that you've done on sliders. I'm just about to start my NY Giants franchise and look forward to using your sliders. Your "close to default sliders" philosophy makes a lot of sense to me rather than drastically changing them.

Second, I'm using TFG (That Franchise Guy) roster in my franchise and I've setup my sliders exactly as you mentioned on the first page (with the exception of threshold at 52 instead of 50). I know you recommend using the default roster, but I had the most fun with Madden 19 using TFG's roster last year and would like to try them again this year. I love the concept of TFG lowering the OVR of average players so that the stars can really stand out.

My one question for now is, if I change the accelerated clock from off to 20 or 25, do you think that will mess anything up such as fatigue/injury levels? I was thinking of doing this because the CPU tends to snap the ball with 30 seconds or so left on the play clock. Therefore they go on 10-12 play drives in under 2 minutes! Maybe all those plays in such a short time contribute to injuries???

From what I've heard from trusted sources, acc clock on will increase fatigue rates (and likely injuries).

Frankly - I've seen minimal injuries in my Dolphins franchise (I'm in week 9 and have no one on the injured list).

Re: JoshC1977's Madden 20 CFM-only Sliders (User vs CPU Only)

OK, so as I mentioned yesterday, I was planning on exploring a threshold (speed parity) value of 52. As stated, the premise was to re-balance the timing of the run game. Initial testing by myself and others I trust all yielded positive results. The relative timing between the backs, the o-linemen, and the defenders is much better. This has made both outside and inside runs more dynamic overall with a better variety of outcomes. Outside runs should be more challenging (as you'll have to navigate more linemen/defenders) while inside runs will be balanced more to allow the ratings to drive outcomes. This also seems to have cleaned-up a lot of the wonky pathfinding issues by CPU RBs.

I am updating the OP right now to include 52 thresh (to be set in CFM ONLY).

This is the sole area I not followed. Are you suggesting I may warrant better results not using accelerated?Currently I run 12 minutes – 17 accelerated.IDK what that would break down to not accelerated or how it may or may not impact overall stats/play.

Let me offer this....if you haven't followed the OP exactly (including the clock setting); plug it in and play a few games. See for yourself what you prefer. My total play counts have been around 120 (which is a little below the average but still acceptable).

I've got a 'bucket list' of permutations I still want to test out but as the OP continues evolving, I haven't gotten there yet. Acc clock is one of those permutations (testing with non-default XP sliders is another).

Thank you. Guess I’ll be leaving the accelerated clock off.

I've used this set the most on the cloud. But it's in general, it's different.
