watched several games today and yesterday, but it’s with patch 1.13. I’m having a blast with playoffs in year 2. no complaints. will be a few days before my data rolls over and i can grab the patch. probably will be on here more now that work slowed down and ive got into a groove.

Watched two games as home team and two as the away team.

Takeaways-

Definitely something to this. Seems like when i was the home team, there was more offense, but the visitor games were lower scoring, more defensive. Not enough running either. May take a look at the playbooks and make some. i really need to look at real life nfl averages and see how what the league run/pass ratio is, so i can try to match that with custom playbooks.

i’ve peaked at the playbooks on 20 a few weeks ago. while, the playcalling is better this year as far as not attacking deep so much, but there’s still something off about it. these playbooks are set up kind of strange at default. each situation has 20 plays i believe and each play has the half star rating. i think that’s why these team’s seem to lack any true identity. it may be relying too much on the ai. maybe if i got in there and played with it some like i did with 19, i can get it playing better and teams will have more of an identity. this will be on PS4.

ive already thought about doing some custom books for 20. was gonna just do some for future teams on down in cfm so the game would change scheme wise as my cfm progressed.

was just goofing off. didn’t make any files. just thought about different kinds of ways to blend different kinds of schemes, so it looks like the game is changing through different eras as you progress. using these 32 default, i don’t know, seems lame to reuse them for 3 decades.

maybe have some teams only run under center plays. go full old school. maybe some teams use 2 TEs 80 percent of the time. an old school air coryell. made several of these for 19 and the all time rosters.

want to concentrate more this year on CFM. probably will do draft classes instead of classic rosters this year. cfm seems to work way better this year. still gonna have 19 going with the all time rosters as well.

Bills at Ravens, divisional playoffs. Bills lead 14-3 with 5 minutes left in the half. Bills d looks pretty good. Lamar jackson’s Made some nice scrambles as well. Biggest difference isa jackson fumble that setup a td and a 50 yard defensive pass interference that gave the bills their other td. Having a fun time with this. Looks really good, too. Penalties are nice, too—punisher.

Jackson just threw a td pass and closed the gap. 14-10 bills. 3 minutes left in 1st half.

I’m gonna experiment some with auto subs for running backs.

Here’s my take on what’s going on here:

Not seeing much difference between default and the old 99/98 rb auto sub setting. true, more subs with 99/98 compared to 80/60 default. but 80/60 has problems too and i think that’s why they’re passing so much and not really committing to the run, like ever.

see with 99/98, the star back was subbing out too much, and the cpu rarely ran the ball when the sub was in. seemed like sometimes they audible to pass or do the bubble screen run play option and they bubble screen it more. same thing happens with the default settings but it’s a different pull going here.

when at 80/60 default, the star rb doesn’t sub out enough, and this too makes the cpu avoid run plays because the running back’s tired.

thinking of trying 85/84.

may also edit running back fatigue rating. made some big discoveries with this a month or so ago on madden 19 with the all time rosters. On 19, these fatigue ratings play a huge role in how much the cpu runs the ball. doesn’t really matter what the playbook calls for because i had troubles with this using custom playbooks. the money fatigue rating on madden 19 was 85 and 84. gonna start there and use the 85/84 autosub.

on madden 19, i was able to stick with 99/98 autosubs, but for 20, I think 85/84 will work better. even with default roster. will test heavy with ea official rosters before i edit. may be no need for edits. god i hope so.

probably be later tonight when i test. ive had madden playing all day and last night too. really having a good time with it.

pats are about to beat the texas for a ticket to play Baltimore in the AFC championship.

did the fatigue and autosub edits mention earlier. looks really good early on. seems to have made the game play a little better from just a quarter watched.

use 85/84 auto subs for each team.

make the first 2running backs 85 fatigue and the 3rd string back at 84.

seeing better overall gameplay because the playcalling is a little more realistic. still too early to tell but looks very promising. this stuff worked amazingling well last year on 19. never really shared because i just nailed it down a couple of months ago. still need to edit those guys, too.

Wassup tommy..do I still use the same exact sliders and settings on the op page with the 84/85 auto subs setups
