For an absolutely level playing field, after every game I delete my profile and reset to dashboard, reloading the game again, even if I'm just going straight back for another match.

It's time consuming because you have to accept the user agreement and watch the pro bowl intro every time, and then adjust visual settings to personal preferences, but it means every game plays "true" and stats for every team are credible.

Not resetting after every game leads eventually to an accelerated 'hyper' game where QB's never miss passes, no drops, running backs ghost through defences like they're not there and you wind up with games of around 90-100 points and 500+ passing yards for both teams, and around 1400 yards of offense.

This year, i haven’t seen much difference with this. Usually, i back out to the main menu after I sim to the next week. I’m not watching but one game a week at the time. Might work different if you watch multiple games in the same week. Not sure how everybody else is playing. I’ve just been watching year 1 games. Need to sim to year 2 and play. Year 2 is a better testament with sliders and how they work. I was just ready to watch some action and didn’t have patience to sim. Finally got time to indulge in Madden. Really like the way the newest patch plays.

I’m gonna bump fatigue to 66.

Face mask 50*****was 30, but the decrease in penalties, this is the best place to start. In the past, face mask has kind of acted like the Overall Penalty Frequency slider. This dates back to NCAA Football days. What i mean is, there’s usually a hot zone/threshold where it will make all penalties be called more. Not sure if this will work. But with fatigue bumped to 66, it should. May need more fine tuning. For all I know, TGPunisher may already have it just about figured out. That last penalty slider update he gave us really helped the game in previous patches.

Roughing passer 51
All other penalties switched ON

Didnt want to post while still testing but I am looking primarily at penalties. Only one game done so far today, I'll run more through the afternoon (back on East Coast US as of Tuesday).

Anyway, I bumped Face Mask up to 50 and saw 2 calls for it, neither of which were at a time when I'd call it a "cheap" call, so happy with that. I'll leave it at 50 for a few more games to be sure.

Still not seeing any False Start or Encroachment calls, that I tried up at 65 with the base Offside setting at 99. I'll keep going up to see if we can find a way to get some calls in but it may just be broken until EA fixes it. This I'm not particularly pleased about. Offside are fundamental calls for a game of football, it needs to be part and parcel of the experience.

Seems like the tackling slider may need a slight tweak. My game this morning saw a huge amount of running yardage, Gordon ran almost 200 yards in 21 carries. He did break through for one 80 yard TD so of course, elevated games like this do happen and I want to leave the possibility of it happening in, so I'll keep an eye on any changes, I'll tweak a little, see if it was down to another brilliant Gordon performance (best HB so far this season) or if tackling needs a slider bump

Ran a couple of games with 66 fatigue. Didn’t see any false starts or offsides, but other penalties were called.

Testing 70 fatigue. Always wanted to use 70 fatigue because it felt the most natural and also falls in between 80/60 auto subs. Only reason i couldnt use it in the past was because of the false start glitch. Maybe bumping it to 70 this time doesn’t cause false start glitch but opens up the opportunity because they completely neutralized these penalties with this patch. Hopefully the 70 does something. We also may have to adjust the injury slider, but injuries were good in two test games with 66. May need to lower injury to 30 if 70 fatigue causes too many injuries.

still not seeing false starts or offsides.

When this game ends, i’ll check each lineman’s penalty discipline trait. maybe they’re all set to disciplined.

Did some experiments, finally seen a false start. Happened in the first quarter, too. Gonna see how this goes. Made some changes regarding skill level. The theory was, all-madden is what they use in competitive mode, and the latest patch note talks about decreasing penalties in competitive mode, so I’ve switched skill levels. Using beginning at set-up and on main menu, and I’ve seen a false start but still no offsides. Ive got false start and offsides at 99.

I'll take a look at that next game, good idea.

I just finished running a game at 99/99 and nothing, but with the same load up screen settings as before. I'm also seeing a big change in pass/run ratios. I'll post up some stats from the last game I ran.

Trubisky - 19 passes/11 completions/80 yards/57% completion

Brees - 35 passes/22 completions/224 yards/62% completion

Cohen - 25 runs/159 yards/6.4 Avg

Kamara - 13 runs/46 yards/3.5 Avg

Davis - 9 runs/41 yards/4.6 Avg

NO - 64 yards running/195 yards passing

16 runs/22 catches

CHI 202 yards running/46 yards passing

36 runs/12 catches
