I'm on game 3 post this latest patch. The first game was wild, but I think it was one of those oddities you get every now and again. Game 2 was much tighter and the third I'm watching as I type this is tighter still.

My impressions are this patch is strange. Running backs aren't breaking yards as easy, but we can adjust tackling and run block to address that. The bigger issue is the passing game. QB's are way more accurate, meaning their catch percentages are high but scoring is down because they're passing backwards far more regularly or dumping it short. A lot of passes to the TE too.

I dropped fatigue to 60 which helped a bit. Still watching a few more games to get a better handle on the game. Face mask is at 50, Tackling at 39 currently

I hope you guys find better luck with it, I'm just not going to go through this week to week. I deleted it off my Xbox.

I've been playing NBA 2K20 and it's night and day how much better this game is as far as watching a realistic game with better presentation, commentary, CPU vs. CPU game play, etc.

Football is my favorite sport but this is far more enjoyable as a video game.

I'll never buy Madden again.

I just saw my first neutral zone infraction in over 2 weeks! It was more thrilling than a 45 yard pass, almost spilled hot coffee on my crotch!!!

Wow. Crazy when that causes that kind excitement.

I was thinking about something earlier. Wonder how the game plays if you sim the first 10 seasons. You may get ore offsides and false starts. How far are you year wise with your cfm.

Still first season, week 9. I'm owner of each team and starting my draft list and trades for season 2 for all teams.

On more reflection, offside calls aside I don't have as much hate for this patch as many do. Although in fairness the majority of those that I'm seeing posting their distaste play as User against CPU.

I like tough football, hard yard football and that's what we've got with this patch. It might be a fraction TOO tough for some, I can understand that. But I believe with some adjustments you can open the game up more. I'm on the fence about it. I want a bigger body of evidence to judge on, a full weeks fixtures before deciding whether to change things a bit.

I can understand that dudes frustration, especially since these patches are a weekly occurrence. Not only did I want to delete the game but I wanted to pull out the disc and snap it in half. But so far it’s been nothing but a few tweaks of the sliders to fix. I only run one season per madden, record it, and wait for next season. Been doing that since the first madden football when they only had 16 teams, hell, even before that will tecmo super bowl. But overall, compared to last year, I think it’s much better and much more watchable and the patches were much less damaging.
