Hey Ren, looking to try these out in a bit and I had one question. What do you pass defense reaction at first User? I ask because it says under evaluation between 30-40 and was wondering if there a setting you recommend it at? Thank you!

Hey!

Ok, here's the deal...

CPU QBA was originally set to 50, with HUM PDRT set to 25.

However, I was looking for a little more oomph out of the CPU...

Raising CPU QBA to 55 did that - big time. Suddenly, the CPU offense became almost impossible to stop. So much so, that an increase to HUM defense was needed. I decided to bring HUM PDRT back up to the default value of 50. Consequently, that brought in too much defense to the equation. It resulted in draping coverage, and too many TFL by the HUM in the run game. PDRT = ball reaction.

It is clear to me that the counterbalance to the increased CPU QBA is in HUM PDRT. I'm still undecided on a final value, but it is somewhere between 30-40 (25 was evidently not enough defense while 50 was too much). I'm going to roll with 35 as a "starting point" in my season, and then adjust it up to 40, or down to 30, depending on what I see over the course of several games.

I see you said having cpu QB accuracy at 55 made them almost impossible to stop. Iím wondering will that have QBs playing to their ratings or above them. Same with the human defenders that will be affected by the pass coverage sliders.

CPU QBA @ 55 allows the CPU QBs to play more true to their ratings. The key is to match that with the appropriate HUM defensive sliders.

If you set all of the HUM defensive sliders to 50, your players will exceed their ratings by a country mile... and then some. The key to any slider set is to find the ďbalanceĒ under the hood.

I think weíre in good shape here. Word for the wise: bring your A game, particularly on your defensive calls.

I just lost to BUF with NYJ, 34-19, playing the 2019 opener. One caveat: I used Kyler as my QB, and not Darnold. I wanted to test out max mobility.

Other than playing poorly, I really liked what I saw. Itís not All-Madden, but youíll get challenging games, when appropriate. The realism is definitely more existent in Pro. As long as I can continue to see bite and competition from the CPU, mixed with realism, Iíll remain on Pro. Full Disclaimer: the All-Madden set is still a solid fall back, though that will be a last resort at this point.

As of now, Iím pretty happy with the set.

If I see a need for any tweaks as I progress, I will implement them.

However, weíre in the Ďneed a larger sample sizeí phase, before consideration of any significant changes.

Will raising the catching slider up to 55 do anything to help with all the drops?

Honestly, I am not seeing many drops at all... in fact, I am seeing the most realistic amount of drops that I ever have.

Keep in mind, Madden scores "drops" anytime a receiver doesn't hang on to a ball, even in a contested situation - and contested situations are where the drops tend to occur. That is not actually considered a drop IRL in the NFL. IRL, a drop is scored when a receiver has a chance at a catchable ball, and fails to maintain control in an uncontested situation.

If you're seeing multiple amounts of these "drops", it's probably due to pass defense, as opposed to a receiver simply dropping the ball. Truth be told, that wouldn't bother me. That is one of the stats that I tend to ignore, as a whole... as long as they are relative to the pass D. If you really want to see these types of drops, play on AM.

Yes, you can bump up the catching slider to 55 or 60 if you'd like. That will increase the receiver's catch radius, and give him a bit more of an advantage against a DB in a contested situation.

As I said, I haven't had any issues with drops, though I didn't play last night; I haven't gotten to play with the new patch (1.25), that 'dropped' yesterday, as of yet.

I hope this helps - let me know if you have any questions.

Also, are you following the OP to a T, even with things like ballhawk being off? You are more than welcome to make any changes to the set as you see fit, but you may very well wind up with a different experience in doing so.

Definitely use the different catch mechanics (especially the conservative catch) when you're in traffic. Also, low throws combined with the conservative catch mechanic is golden over the middle and other routes where a DB will be draped over you (like curls).
