Hi Mike,
I've been playing Madden for over 20 years. I purchased madden 21 a few days ago and wanted to share some insights I got. I would love your opinion and maybe this will help with other people. Apologies if this has already been discussed, I'm new to this site and find this thread to be hard to read.
Playcalling: I use the coaching gameplans plays and typically sort through to find the right type of package. I like to do this because I have a tendency picking some plays against the CPU that I know I can. What this doesn't allow is for me to spell my HB and therefore I find the auto subs on default doesn't work. I'm currently trying HB 92 IN / 88 OUT and it's a tiny bit better but I need to play around with it to find the sweet spot. I would love your opinion on this.

As you can see here, 41 carries for Saquon is too many. I would love to spell Philip Lindsay for a few series (21-22 season)
some of the scores were a little too high and unrealistic especially considering the NY giants are a huge powered offense. I did sign Allen Robinson but still, 56 to 62 against the redskins is ridiculous.
Would you recommend reducing the quarter length. here are a few screenshots.
Daniel Jones should not be leading the lead in passing yards through week
In terms of TD/INT ratio, I think it's accurate. I'm just dusting off remember how to play and I made a lot of bad passes in the first few games.
I've also found more success on defense playing zone.

Thanks for the details and visuals. For RBs, I use packages and split carries between 3 RBs. Then again, I don't have Zeke. I like to keep my RBs cheap ($) therefore roll out a power guy for short yardage (I use Bo Scarborough who's like a 72 ovr), and then my primary back plays in most formations. I use a third down back as well, and that guy will come in for shotgun formations and on 3rd down, obviously.
Since you're more of a 1-RB team, I'd do what you mentioned in just adjusting the sub in/out sliders. I would NOT adjust quarter length.
As for INTs, yes, it just takes some practice. Some guys might throw zero in this set, so I'd tell them to bump it. However, at this point, practice and getting comfortable with Madden 21 is what you need more than anything.
Defense, yes, definitely play to your team's strengths. At the same time, you cannot just sit in zone all game and expect to hold a team down. Mix it up.
