Checking in after a wild ride in season one w/ the NYG using this set.

I went 9-7 and somehow scraped into the playoffs, but I got it handed to me by GB @ Lambeau in the WC round.

While the ending was disappointing, the season was not without its joys.

We placed 6 players in the Pro Bowl: Saquon Barkley, Evan Engram, Elijah Penny, Blake Martinez, Kyle Fackerell, and Corey Ballentine.

Some stat lines:

Jones: 3962 YDS 67% 7.8 YPA 22 TD 15 INT 27 SK
Barkley: 252-1189-4.7 18 TD
Engram: 80-1124-14.1-6TD

Martinez: 168 TK 4 SK 1 INT
Bradberry: 80 TK 1 SK 4 INT

After moving to these sliders around the midway point, I never looked back. Every game felt contextual & I had a wide range of outcomes. Just when I thought I was doing too well w/ 5 straight wins, I dropped 4 straight and got shut down in the playoffs. Couldn't be happier.

The off-season saw me make a run at Barrett and Awuzie. I landed Barrett but not Awuzie.

A major lesson from S1 was the need to improve the OL. I was fortunate in scouting to discovery some real gems--a projected 3rd round C named John Costa and a projected 4th round G named Jared Feeny, both with 1st round talent grades.

I targeted those 2 in particular w/ my top 2 picks and got both.

My draft was:

1.19: Costa, C, 77 OVR, Hidden Dev.
2.19: Feeny, G, 73 OVR, Hidden Dev.
3.19: Session, EDGE, 72 OVR, Hidden Dev.
4.19: Moore, DL, 71 OVR, Normal Dev.
6.19: Gardner, LB, 68 OVR, Normal Dev.

Costa & Feeny are day-one starters. Session & Moore will see rotational snaps. Garnder will add speed to ST units.

I warn you, the WC game is ugly .

I was able to make it into 2021 and beat CAR in WK1 after installing a new offense and defense. I moved to the TEN offensive book from the NYG/Garrett book, and I incorporated the Pettine 34 from the GB book.

The offense was much more explosive than it was at the end of last season, and the defense, while a WIP, did come up w/ 2 key turnovers.

Didn't work great, which is a shame because the set clearly is really good. I think the All Madden Setting just doesn't do great with Cpu Vs Cpu gameplay.

If I ever start up a User franchise I'll definitely try these out again. Love a lot of the stuff it's doing.
