Armor, I haven’t been able to play the early access version yet but the main forum impressions don’t seem to be good. What are your thoughts on what you’ve played so far?

I will be back on streaming another test game soon.

Early thoughts are my sentiments have not changed from the beta. If you really enjoyed Madden 21 NG then you will really like M22 NG.

Gameplay is smooth as butter, the player movement is the best it has ever been.

Franchise mode is getting a lot of love.

Two concerns and I am withholding judgement till the retail version with the day one patch.

1. Even with all the penalty sliders maxed at 99 I seeing virtually nothing thru 2.5 games. Other than some false starts…..absolutely nothing else has been called.

2. They really toned down fatigue….over reacted IMO and hope we can find a balance with the fatigue slider. Also…..I need a ton of time to test the week to week progressive fatigue.

I am going to experiment with doing mass penalty trait edits to all OL/DL/CB/FS/SS/TE who are rated under 90 to undisciplined and see if that unleashes Holding, block in the back, DPI, and facemasks.

It is crazy why they nerfed penalties on simulation mode. They literally are non existent right now.

Everything else is playing really
Well.

QB AI is looking really good. Playcalling so far is decent.

Look folks….it’s Madden. But the gameplay feels great and Franchise mode is really getting love and a major scouting update too. I will be playing many many seasons of franchise and also Percussions 1990 roster.

It is going to be a great cycle!!!

Armor.. I was watching your stream with no penalties.

I decided just to try something and moved them from 99 to 95. I’ve had two penalties in first quarter. Both were blocking in the back.

Maybe it was just a fluke but I’m going to keep trying values and see if maybe maxed out is causing issues (could be a bug).

Edit::

I still think penalties is a big issue but wondering if you’ll see any at all with it at 95 instead of 99. Seen crazier stuff happen Lol.

Absolutely. Should have such a good foundation being able to test and play while waiting for scouting.

Was just messing around and seeing CPU have missed throws, staying in pocket and moving when needed.. I think this is going to be an awesome cycle.

A couple issues I’ve seen that maybe you can solve:

1) CPU punting seems horrendous still, not sure why this can’t ever be fixed lol.

2) User rushing still seems a little too easy
