It means the player is in a position that doesn't affect the teams Chem.... You're not getting a boost from that player at that position

To add to that, only players in your 'first' positions impact team chemistry so for instance your backup QB won't affect it.

I could be wrong but I believe the only exception to this is the second middle line backer. I believe their chemistry also is in affect.
