Year 2 and I STILL semi-suck at this lol

Didn't have a first or second round picks thanks to the Wilson trade, but manufactured 2 second round picks.

Used the first one on a WR I felt was gonna be a homerun. Elite speed and accel, and turned out to be a 75ovr normal dev with 99 speed and 97 accel. Kinda a good hit, but he's buried at 4th on my depth chart.

I traded up to select a RE with my 2nd, 2nd round pick and hit a good one with a 75ovr and a hidden dev. Had to trade both my 3rds and a 4th to get him.

5th and down were misses, I didn't have any day 3 guys scouted.

Use is the letter grades are still ranged from B-C for example. Prolly still doing something wrong. I just don't trade up a whole lot if I don't need too, but maybe it will change since I have a 1st this year.

thanks for the update!
the main thing with these classes is that there are just not a lot of good players in them most of the time. If you're drafting ANYONE with B-C ratings in general, it's doubtful they are ever hidden development, which is why my criteria is so high. (If they have B's they MUST be elite in a specific athletic category).

not getting the extra 2 scouting reports is a huge issue for my process which relied on using that to scout round 1-2 players most effectively and not wasting picks or cap space... oh well. will finish the next draft class soon.

I tested the focus scouting thing where they need to be favorited... it still only did it for 2 of the 3 players.



Also - for anyone looking for a WR... 4.24 combine 40 time = 99 speed. Seeing way too many players with that time but they're fun to play with.

interesting. I'll need to look next time but only had an issue for me when one of the players was missing a favorite and only they got scouted, not the other 2.

Updating front page with common patterns I'm seeing after 4-5 draft classes:


- TE is constantly filled with star or better players. Don't waste it in FA.
- CB has been surprisingly shallow year to year.
- ROLB and LOLB are filled with star or better players.
- Oline is very rags or riches with draft class. But in a 2-3 year span you can absolutely draft a Pro Bowl caliber line all through the draft .

Not a great draft class. The 1st round guy I took was the guy who glitched out so I never got his full scouting report and unfortunately. Was normal development. Bleh!! Otherwise good but very weak class other than QB’s.
