Is there a way to change captains in franchise mode? (PS5)

For example Anthony Richardson was voted team captain in real life. He is not a captain in the game on franchise mode. I would like to make the change. Can I? Sorry just downloaded the game yesterday and couldn’t find any info online on how to do this. Thanks

There’s an option on the player screen but you need to remove another captain first.
