Players look way too FAT! (PS4)

So I started my usual pass through the rosters and the first thing I notice is that all my WRs on the Bears have Chest and Belly at 10/10. Okay, I guess... it doesn't look right but it's not too terrible.

But oh my...

I click on Riley Reiff and he looks like a sumo wrestler. Okay? Maybe it's just one guy. Click on Braxton Jones and he's even fatter and he has what looks like neon blonde dreadlocks! And then I try to edit Sam Mustipher and oh my sweet lord!

How does this get past testers? I am speechless. I feel like a complete and total fool for spending $100 on this game. I can't play it with the players looking like this.

Sorry, gonna have to 100% disagree...it finally looks like real football now with big guys running around, not 22 wide receiver type bodies we been dealing with for years.

This is the problem with Madden. People say they want change, then they change things like this by adding more body types and then you end up with a post in the forum complaining about how fat the players look.

I know the steelers punter is a big guy but when I saw his Pic in the menu screen I just couldn't hold in the laugh.

Different and noticeably sizable body types but that we can still edit them as we see fit. Give me that every single day instead of not having that option.

Player models on last gen are terrible, I completely agree with the OP.

The new body types are welcomed. The universally ripped OL/DL have been a pet peeve of mine for the last eight years or so when it came to Madden's player models.

However, my beef with the new body types is that we are not able to choose any of them as a base from which to further customize players with the body mass sliders in the editor.

As it stands, any tweaks to the new body types causes them to revert back to the old ripped master scan. It's a bit of a let down. Hopefully, that changes next year.

My spectrum brain hyperfocuses on some things and then absolutely not for other things, so I can understand all perspectives.

For me, my brain is liking the PS4 body types and knowing that I can change or revert them to what M22 PS4 was looking like. On the flip side, after looking at the videos of Xbox Series X and PS5 gameplay and body types and even a couple of create a player videos, I don't think I can handle looking at those body types very long. They look too thin or like no one wears pads at all. What irks me way more is any QB on next gen with a double digit jersey number has this glitched, number stretched out at the top look to it and just makes my OCD scream at me.

Then again, maybe these things both get patched in the first title update?
