After these tests I think I'm set on the injury ratings edits.
QB : - 40
RB: - 30
FB: - 40
WR: - 20
TE: - 20
OL: - 15
DL: - 20
LB: - 20
DB: - 30
K: - 70
P: - 70

With the QB rating at - 40 I think it would manage to find a middle ground between - 35 and the 1/2 rating plus gives a better chance of QB injuries in game with the lower rating.
I don't mind the high RB injuries being a highly volatile position, but it was funny that it increased on the third test are lowering it.
And I don't mind the higher injury rates of WR's and CB's as they are usually the positions with the most players on the field at one time especially with more nickel and dime formations and more 3 and 4 WR sets in the modern NFL.

I will probably just run with these edits as I want to start playing this game, I will probably wait till the week 3 roster to come out. Depending on whether the online franchise active roster updates I may edit a week 3 roster for offline franchise and I may end up putting the roster up on Madden Share.

Jitty, this is super helpful.

What baseline INJ slider you used for this test? Was it 25, 50?

I had it set on 40, but I mainly focused on sim injuries and I believe someone mentioned that earlier that sim injuries aren't effected by the injury slider, it only increases the injury rate in game.

Yeah I don't mind at all it may take a bit of time as I don't have that much free time at the moment. I'm in the middle of a week 3 edit and I will put a post up and then put it up on madden share when I'm done.

Re: Not enough injuries in franchise

Jitty, forgive me if this has been answered, but I'm catching up on some M23 threads after a little time off OS.

With these tests where you list how many guys at each spot got hurt, are these totals for an entire season's worth of simulated games, or a specific number of games?

Awesome work, so thanks!

They were the total of injuries at each position that occurred during the sim of the whole regular season Week 1 to 18, I kept injuries off during the pre season just to keep teams somewhat intact from the loaded roster. So realistically there would be a few more injuries that would occur during one season.
And I counted the 1-2 Week practice injuries that occurred as well.

Then I just wanted to list some of the more serious injuries that occurred that would potentially derail a team's season and the QB injuries to show they happen. But also show that there is a big variety not so much in injury type but more length, because in my tests I saw a number of different timeframes for injuries.

Like there were guys with 3,4,5 Week injuries, there were guys at the start of the season on a good team that had a 19 Week injury but weren't put on IR for the purpose of using them in the playoffs, as the facilities to use the IR system like real life aren't there. And that the real serious 30+ week injuries are there too.

Awesome, man, thank you so much!

This clearly seems like the way to handle things. It's a bit of work, but if it gets you realistic results without having to fiddle with sliders that have an unknown or a limited effect.
