Any franchise mode glitches reported?

I have not tested this myself yet, but per Reddit: there is a bug where one’s game for the week will launch in a “practice” state; the teams wear practice jerseys, there is no commentary, and there is no score bug. When you quit the game following triggering this bug, the game you started gets recorded as a 0-0 tie with no stats.

This bug reportedly triggers when, during a given week in Franchise, prior to playing your game you enter practice but run zero plays.

The workaround for this bug is reportedly as follows:

1 - if you use practice in Franchise mode, always run at least one play. The bug triggers if you enter and immediately exit practice.

2 - if you use practice in Franchise mode, prior to playing your game for a week, always enter Uniform Select at the Controller Select screen prior to starting the game.

I used base roster, no draft classes. I simmed like 2 seasons and then 10 year simmed until 2034. Oh man, I didn't know this was a probalem that others experienced last year. Damn. It stopped me from playing last year and they didn't fix it?

That’s what I would prefer as well but even when you only control one team the CPU doesn’t really trade much after the 1st 2 years anyways. With 32 I can make all teams use scenarios, help teams release poor contracts, use franchise tag when necessary, avoid over drafting QBs and set depth charts. Hopefully player tags take the last two items off my plate. So the reward for me out weighs the time it takes to do it.

I understand what you're saying, absolutely. And I know that its just broken, and has been for ages. But doing that just saps all of the fun out of it for me.

Its a big part of why I stopped buying Madden at release years ago, and have been going every other year at clearance price for a while. I'd hoped that the features added this year might be a boost, but from it sounds like, its all really buggy right now.

After 2023, young superstars like Justin Herbert and Justin Jefferson hit free agency. It’s an immersion killer, especially with Herbert and later Burrow and Lamar Jackson also hitting the market. Of course, it all stems from the lack of any contract changes even as real-life deals get bigger and more complex.

This is precisely why I back up my saved data to the cloud after EVERY offline franchise game.

That way if the file corrupts, I can simply redownload from the cloud, and I lose only a game.
