Tua and Jones is a pretty tough comparison for me. But this is close to the most realistic logic I've seen.

I guess going into this blind not knowing what jones stats are in his Madden 2022 season would factor in but jones seems to have way more upside than Tua from what I saw last year.

Not at all a good example. I won't even go into how the whole world knows Goffs limitations by that point and just go straight to the obvious that stafford is 34 years old.

I see what you were saying with your formula but your equation is missing the most crucial variable, age. No way does NE sit or trade 81 ovr franchise 23 year old Jones for 97 ovr 45 year old Brady.

For the record stuff like this doesn't bother me. I can accept this is a video game but trying to justify it ias reasonable is not something I could do. Lol

This doesn't bother me either ... but I'll add one thing:

In the real world, teams don't have an OVR rating sitting on a player. It's possible Mac Jones stunk up the joint in some big games and NE suddenly gets a chance to see Brady back if they think their roster is good enough.

I suspect this in-game instance is staggeringly unlikely in real life because of a number of variables but the overall idea of Brady returning to NE wouldn't stun me.

Tua was universally regarded as the better prospect coming out of college. Tanking for Tua was the motto for bad teams that season. No one was tanking for Mac Jones. Its ok to admit you might be wrong on this one.

Either way in a one season/win now scenario neither is Tom Brady.

So was Ryan Leaf WTF are you talking about? College hype means nothing.

Both Flores his head coach and their Alabama receivers preffered Mac Jones but ok I'm sure you know more than them.

Brady is 45 and I’d still bet over the next 10 years he wins more Super Bowls than Mac Jones. You can draft a Mac Jones in almost every draft.

Whether you think Jones is better than Tua or not, neither is Tom Brady. My comparison was that both were 1st rd QBs that Brady could replace. If this example was Brady replacing Burrow or Herbert then it’s would be different.

Re: Could not make this up

Count me in the category that is fine with this move. Brady leaving New England for Tampa Bay or Manning going to Denver would have been moves that had this forum in shambles had they happened in Madden before they happened in real life.
