Madden should take a lesson from Front Page Sports

The original Front Page Sports Football games still had the best injury system. It’s been a while but to remember the details but when a player was injured they had a level of injury.

There was Probable 10% ratings decrease, Questionable 20%, Doubtful 30%, OUT and Career Ending Injury. After that there was an amount of time in weeks. If I recall each week, the injuries could lesson over the course of time.

You had to strategize on how injuries affected the team, was it worth sitting guy?

The fact that we’ve normalized all or nothing injuries is a bit absurd.

I was thinking the same thing a while back. But this is so true injuries are sung big part of the game of football, but in Madden injuries are so lazily implanted that it takes away from the game. Guys should getting only a certain amount carries or can develop an injury prone trait none of this is in the game.

Madden should basically look at all text sims and model their franchise mode. Copy it, steal it, plagiarize is. Whatever, take the lazy route of doing what they do.

To your point, this would be such and upgrade to the system. Any type of wear and tear system that is done well would be a major change to franchise mode and is something we've been begging for for well over a decade at this point.
