Running out of coaches

I had won four straight conference championships and lost both coordinators for the fourth straight time, and was unable to hire an OC. Instead of playing without an OC, I wasn’t allowed to enter games and had to simulate the next regular season games until after Week 18.

Is there a workaround for this in owner mode? I’m worried this could happen again if I win another conference championship.

Is that an owner mode only feature. I've literally won championships almost back to back to the point of just restarting franchise an never lost anyone. Are they retiring or what?

pitiful. I guess coaches in Madden will eventually go the way of refs, going, going, gone

and what we need EA to do is go the opposite direction of that.
need more than just the coordinators, we need qb, rb, wr, te, ol and dl coaches, lb and db coaches

It’s in owner mode, and the coordinators are being hired as head coaches. I like that! I just wish I could hire their replacements.

I ran into the same problem after season 10 (i think). Every year my OC and DC would be gone and I would have to hire new ones. After year 10 I didn’t have any OC’s to choose from. Plenty of DC’s. The only way I could advance my franchise was to create a new Character and take control of another team. Once in control I would fire my OC. After that I would set my new team to Auto mode unlimited and switch back to my original team. Now I can hire the OC I fired. I’m now in year 14 and I’ve had to follow the same previous steps.

Uuuuuugh, I thought they patched that problem. Is this in a Franchise you have been playing for a while? If so, that may be the problem, I think you had to start a new franchise after they patched a bunch of things.

So basically you have to take 32 team full control to side step bug, it seems

No, you don’t need to control all 32 teams. At the most if you play it out for 30 years (I think that is the max) you will control 20 teams. And you really don’t control them, you put them in Auto mode unlimited.
