Uniform Observation/Must Have

I first saw it in the beautiful mods from the PC community, and now in the college game...

The uniform pants above the knee has to be in Madden 25. It wasn't in 24 and I didn't see it in June. It's crazy how ancient the pants covering the knee and knee pads look now lol. Gotta have it man!

It's not allowed in the pros so I don't think they'll add it to Madden for franchise. It is in the superstar showdown mode of whatever it's called on your created players.

So they outlawed it for the 2024 season then? This was from last season.

I thought you meant having their knees showing. So a short pants and super long socks combo. It looks ridiculous but if the players are doing it, then it should be added.

If it’s an nfl rule, then EA can’t add it. Just like undershirt color. Only white on white jerseys and team color on team color. Yes, players swap them in the nfl but it’s against nfl rules

It's not a uniform violation, 98% of the players in the league do it. If that was the case entire teams would be fined weekly. EA can't use that excuse anymore. Yes, I can't unsee the 30-40 mods I use on Madden PC anymore, secondary undershirt colors, tattoos on all players that have them, any facemask you can imagine now that mesh editing is finally in, every player editable cleats, chains, wristbands, custom soundtracks, the list goes on forever. If the College game ever comes to PC look out, would be crazy.

It's not a uniform violation, 98% of the players in the league do it. If that was the case entire teams would be fined weekly. EA can't use that excuse anymore. Yes, I can't unsee the 30-40 mods I use on Madden PC anymore, secondary undershirt colors, tattoos on all players that have them, any facemask you can imagine now that mesh editing is finally in, every player editable cleats, chains, wristbands, custom soundtracks, the list goes on forever. If the College game ever comes to PC look out, would be crazy.

Here's the rule on that...

"Item 4. Pants. Pants must be worn over the entire knee area; pants shortened or rolled up are prohibited. No part of the pants

may be cut away unless an appropriate gusset or other device is used to replace the removed material. All pants must carry a

small NFL Shield logo on the front left groin area of the pants, midway between the fly opening and side seam, and ½-inch below

the belt.


Game Socks and/or Leg Coverings. Game socks and/or leg coverings must cover the entire area from the shoe to the

bottom of the pants, and must meet the pants below the knee. Players are permitted to wear as many layers of game socks and/or

leg coverings and tape on the lower leg as they prefer, provided the exterior is either a: (a) one-piece game sock and/or leg

covering that includes solid white from the top of the shoe to the mid-point of the lower leg, and approved team color or colors

(non-white) from that point to the top of the game sock and/or leg covering; or (b) solid color game sock and/or leg covering (i.e.,

entire covering from bottom of pant leg to top of shoe), but all players must be in the same covering style and color in any particular

game. Solid game socks and/or leg coverings must be a consistent color from the bottom of the pant leg to the top of the shoe.

Uniform game socks and/or leg coverings may not be altered (e.g., over-stretched, cut at the toes, or sewn short) in order to bring

the line between solid white and team colors lower or higher than the mid-point of the lower leg. Skin exposure of the lower leg

and ankle area due to improper wear of game socks and/or leg coverings is prohibited at all times throughout the game. No other

game socks and/or leg coverings, and/or opaque tape, may be worn over the one-piece, two-color uniform game socks. Barefoot

punters and placekickers may omit the game sock and/or leg covering of the kicking foot in preparation for and during kicking

plays."


I'm all for more options but this is just to point out that technically this is not allowed for NFL players. I would imagine Madden has to use the same guidelines for uniforms and equipment for its players that the real NFL does.

If ea isn't gonna add in new cleats from what I can tell. Why can't they at least update the ones in the game with new colors. For example, make the nike dunk match team colors, or the Jordan 1 low look like the mids. Give us the Jordan 11 mids as well. Would like to see the numbered thigh pads and the shoulder, knee brace. I think the base layer tights from CFB25 would be a nice addition, especially for teams that wear solid color socks and give us mid and scrunched sock options

I'd honestly rather them do a create a cleat option like I did in another thread.. let the ppl like myself who wanna put that work on authenticity. Even gloves or forza it like skin on cars idk. It could shrink that gap between pc and console a pinch

There are some new things coming. I’m sure cleats is one of them. I would like to see the bulky socks especially when choosing the high option( totally in the rules) and I would like to see knee braces and hanging mouth guards ( totally in the rules)

Would love the options to have to have cold gear like gators and hand warmers be worn whatever the temperature .

From Madden 24 on pc. After the discord unlocked this and the equipment, there's no way we can go back to the default knee pad look that 0 players have worn since 2010-ish. CFB 25 did it justice and madden needs to catch up

The NFL has final approval on what EA Sports can or cannot add into Madden NFL. It's not EA Sports' excuse to make, they have no agency on this issue.

EA Sports does not have the same freedom to flagrantly violate the NFL's uniform policy as NFL players do; instead of a five-figure fine, they lose their ability to release Madden to the public at all if they do something the NFL doesn't like.

It is a uniform violation and players are fined not teams. The league hires uniform enforcement people that go to the games and tell the players what is allowed and not along with numerous flyers plastered in the locker room and tunnels of stadiums of what's allowed.

This enforcement person also them reports infractions to the league.
