What I want to know is along with the possible practice and coaching moments after you throw 3 picks in a game, which is better than nothing, but are there any other ramifications? Can you be benched, traded or cut after enough poor performances? If not the mode is still worthless imo.
The return of EA SPORTS College Football also marks the return of a classic feature within the Madden franchise. Player Import will let you select any Road to Glory avatar to use in Superstar mode! Your collegiate legacy will follow you into the pros as the game recognizes, and reacts to, your affiliation. From college freshman to NFL GOAT, you can once again play through the entire journey of a football star. If you import a character from College Football 25’s Road to Glory, you get additional creation points beyond the base cap of 15.
I'm curious about when it comes to importing RTGs. The way how it's worded suggests that only real benefit of importing a RTG, is that you get a higher ceiling, which isn't bad. It just seems like the only thing that transfers over are Name, Position, and accolades. Obviously suspected having customze avatar. But, it seems like we have to create our builds again. So, if i was a 6'2 230 power RB in college, I can essentially change the archetype and build.
I also wonder if it even matters what your RTG was rated or how you did in college. It's cool that we have more creation points to start, but if I'm importing a 99 OVR player, I want higher OVR start than regular Superstar creations. I think it was 73 OVR for a 1st round pick last year. If I'm importing a 99 OVR, I would hope at least closer to 80 OVR. I suspect instead of 15 points, I would expect 18-20 points. It mentioned preset archetypes. But, I hope its like the Beta where we could customize the archetype. If I'm a CB, I dont need a 99 catch rating. I would sacrifice that for higher tackling. If I'm a Scrambling QB, I don't need 99 speed.
I do think that 85-90% of the blog was present in the Beta. Only things i dont remember seeing was RTG import and the Beta was based on the 2023 season. Almost everything else i seen in the beta. If that's the case, i think I'll enjoy Superstar mode this year. Especially if we'll get more creation points for importing RTGs.
I do hope they will tone down how easy it was to run a 4.2-4.3 40 regardless of position.
If you import your college player will there be commentary for it like say you win the Heisman trophy will the commentary team say anything about that or will your college show up somewhere
Will I still be forced to call my own plays when playing as a HB?

That's how it was in the beta with Superstar Mode. As i said, most of what was in the blog, was seen in the beta. So, i wouldn't expect a huge difference from the beta.
I'm on both sides of the fence when it comes to playcalling. It doesn't feel realistic to call plays and it takes restraint to not just highlight yourself. But, I don't fully like how it is in RTG. You're at mercy of AI playcalling and even the Coach Trust Playcall ability isn’t implemented well. You're given the same two plays to switch to all game regardless of situation. I found using a Custom Playbook and manually adjusting playcalls for each situation yields good AI Playcalling in RTG.
As far as Superstar mode, i typically just called plays that were on the Coach Suggestion screen. That way, I'm not juat calling plays for myself all game
I only play Superstar mode, and was really excited to check if recent contract extensions for major players (Tua, Jordan Love, etc..) were properly applied in the roster. Unfortunately, Tua , Love and a few other players are still under their old contracts which will expire within 1 ~ 2 years.
Some users that are not accustomed to the Superstar Mode may say " oh no worries, EA will updated it soon".
Yes, they will surely update rosters later on, but the problem is previous Maddens did not give us the choice of starting a new Superstar Mode with updated Rosters. At least this was the case for PS5.
If anyone knows a method that allows me to start a new Superstar mode with updated Rosters, (EA official update or other users'), please be kind enough to teach me. I hope you can help out a lonely user in Korea. (South Korea guys haha)
It is disappointing that they took the player career out of Franchise mode. I'm not surprised since that's how it was in the Beta. But, I usually always create a FS or DL position and do a season. It is weird that you can essentially create a pass rushing LB with the custom archetypes, but still be locked at MLB.
