Wanted to make sure I'm not missing something, but did they remove depth chart from practice mode?

Like for real man! You can say I'm a bit of a slider junkie and I like to fine tune my sliders. I look at ratings and ask myself if the outcome of the match-up makes sense. Like you said, it gives you a chance to lab some things.
There may be an alternative way of looking at ratings, but until it's patched in, we can not sub players in and out.
I remember last year I was on this Madden site that displayed players' ratings (attributes). I was trying to copy all 2023 ratings and players into the M21 version of the game. To me that was the last best Madden on next gen. This site was basically a attribute spreed sheet for all players. With a simple filter and search engine you could see any players ratings.

This has never been an issue. I don't know if it was intentional by EA or not. Last year, they also took out the ability to change unis during practice for both teams only allowing you to use practice jerseys. Please stop taking things out, especially customization. TBH I never noticed the practice uni stuff from last year. In another thread I asked if ppl would like to see practice shells. Similar to the old school versions of Madden where u would practice in shorts, shoulder pads and helmet. But I'd like to also have the option to practice in any uni they have. To admire during practice. Games I play I'm not paying attention to uni's as much I am trying to defend or score.
Man I hope they can patch depth charts back into practice mode. They are able to patch an entire passing mechanic so I don't see why they couldn't add it back.

Clint mentioned on Twitter, that this would return in an early update as well as the ability to use coaching adjustments in practice.
