It's not a downgrade (unless you do player franchises, they removed that option) but there are some issues like the CPU play calling which was also present last year. The new scenarios are... Certainly there. You can now do position drills with offensive lineman. The new announcers are there as well... If you're enjoying 24, stick with that and check and see what future patches improve the game in a way that interests you.
Gameplay is the biggest difference. I haven't bought Madden yet because I have CFB, but between the free weekend and the trial hours I have 20ish hours in the game. The gameplay is a lot different this year. It's more fun I think. I was planning to stick with M24 because I like that game, but I'll upgrade whenever this game goes on sale.
Thats a difficult one. I would say go with 25 once they patch the issues. As far as modeling and simulation fidelity when it comes to player movement, M24 is better imo.
I gave M25 an honest try. The game killers for me is the passing game. the CPU and USERs are way too accurate and both WRs catch balls at a high rate regardless how tightly covered they are. QBs dont throw a realistic almost of inaccurate passes in the years game. If i can find a good roster update for M24 ill be goin back to that and uninstall M25
The problem is EA does too much and implementing new feature which ruin the things the developed a good base with. This new tackle system is a joke and has absolutely no strategic value to the game.
