    Overtime Rules Franchise Mode

Has anyone had the issue where one team never was allowed to take possession in an overtime playoff game?

I was playing wild card weekend and tied 24-24. Playing as the Patriots, the Jets received first. Held them to a field goal on their first and only possession and the game ended there!

Not sure if it matters, but the play before they had punted into the end zone but one of my guys jumped offside. This resulted in them attempting a 58 yard fg and hitting it, which then ended the game. I never received a possession and I had to look up the rules to make sure I understood correctly, which I did, but seems like a strange glitch with the game. Curious if anyone else has seen this?

Since Madden is so well made, what probably happened was the punt signalled a posession change, and the penalty giving the ball back made the game think they had a new possession. In that case a fg would end it.

Its just a poorly made, glitchy, broken game as usual, for the short answer.
