Good defense against the curls (comebacks) that everyone runs

seems to be the go to play like on ncaa. Can't seem to contain the curl patterns that all the no skill, must win at all costs players go to. Any defensive help would be really appreciated.

I wouldn't say the route is no skill cause that route is part of football. And if you can't stop the route, they will keep attacking that route. Happens in the NFL. Best way to stop it is playing more zone then man. Cover 3 with the flat playing purple and get a DE into blue zone to protect any flat patterns and underneath. Also cover 2 sink with your corners falling back into yellow zones. Play off coverage and they will jump the route as soon as the receiver makes his break.

No... That's not real football, because in real football players adjust and would eventually jump that route.

What should stop it is Cover two soft or bump man with safety help so the corner can gamble.... Neither of those are represented in Madden.

You're right about 2 man under not being correct in Madden. The under means that the corner should stay underneath and jump first move while safety is up top.

Man coverage assignments, route combos, and double moves aren't represented well in Madden.

Following is a breakdown of Passing concepts and coverages they beat, to find out how to defend a particular play just use a play that isn't shown in the list of defenses they beat. (this list was made in 2012, but still holds solid).

http://www.madden-school.com/forum/m...eat-chart.html

Press coverage can help against the curl; if you're playing cushion against the curl you might as well expect to get burned, a lot...

I appreciate all the help. When I get abused by it, I just feed it back to my opponent. It seems to be luck stopping it. Just not the kind of football I enjoy.

I know I may come off as a noob or whatever when I ask this, but what do the "MOFO," "FUBAR," and "MOFC" acronyms mean?
