Angry Joe put Madden (next gen) on list of 10 worst games of 2013

... and it's difficult to argue with any of his criticisms. He has Madden as #10 on his list. The Madden bit starts about 1:40 in the video:

The game isn't an awful game, but it clearly falls very short of what we could be playing for an NFL videogame at this point.

Angry who? I'll file this under who cares.

Best game ever? Hell no. One of worst games of the year? Hell no as well.

He does make a living reviewing, discussing, criticizing video games, and is becoming pretty well known (was able to get access to pretty big named industry people at the last E3).

Did you get a chance to check out his specific criticisms? Are there any that you feel he's off base with?

I tried, the persona turned me off. That schtick is old and played out, and quite honestly tiresome. If Madden is among the worst games out there, his review style is among the worst out there.

To be honest, I don't care what reviewers say. They have an opinion, just like everyone else, nothing more. Everyone's taste in games varies.

FYI this means little. Many of us OS vets have gotten acces to big industry people at E3 in the past.

Fair enough. I only mentioned it because of your "Joe who?" question. I'm not implying he's an authority or VIP or anything. He does have a large enough online following for his videos, though, that he's not just some random kid posting their opinion on Youtube.

I get it, he's a youtube persona. He' clearly not aiming at my demographic.

To me, professional reviewers (I guess he's one), don't have an opinion any better than anyone else.

I've saw a few of Angry Joes reviews. Not my cup of tea.

I stopped listening to reviews. Now I just buy the game and if I don't like it I give to one of my nephews or a kid at church.

I'm at a place in life now where 65 bucks isn't really a big deal if I don't like a game BUT IT HAS NOT ALWAYS BEEN THE CASE so I can understand the outrage if you don't like the game and we're expecting more.

I'm loving this game and it's been my favorite launch title.
